The scheme put the offense at a disadvantage, especially since the defense was playing terribly
I agree the scheme was stale and predictable, and they have the same guys putting the run game together.

Add in, they have a short yardage, blocking RB starting for now I'm to Dak to carry the offense.

Not the scheme as far as the playcalls themselves.

The scheme in terms of when they chose to run the ball.

We are rumored to soon have the 60 million $$ QB.
2nd in MVP last year
Why waste him to hand it off?

3 yds and a cloud of dirt doesnt sell tickets
CD wants his stats, Dak wants his stats

Dak throws it 43 x

This game against Cleveland is such a great game on many levels. It’s opening day and on the road. Both teams have questions and injuries. What’s Watson going to look like? What’s the Cowboys running game going to look like? But it all boils down to being such a fantastic test from a physical team that can run the ball and stop the run against the Cowboys who have failed to do both of late. That’s been their cryptonite for a few years now and this will be a great test.

To negate the pressure from Garrett and the others, I’m hoping MM tries to establish the running game often, a lot, more often and more a lot. It will allow the young offensive line to get into at least the current game flow rhythm and help the Cowboys dominate in a physical game. It will also send a message to the rest of the NFL. “Look, the Cowboys can actually run the ball!”
Agreed, We need to run the ball and show that we can stop the run. It all begins sunday, Let the oline get into a grove with the backs.

I think we have a good chance at stopping the run adequately.
1.) Chubb is out. They still have a guy who can run (name slipping my mind), but he's no Chubb.
2.) Their running game is more scheme than Oline talent. Zim is a scheming coach. He will disrupt the scheme.
3.) Bill Callahan is no longer in Cleveland.
Losing Callahan - aka Run Game Jesus - is going to hurt that offense more than they know. I don’t know how he does it but wherever Callahan goes, they run the ball so damn good.

Every time I saw Chubb breaking off a long run, I’d think, “that’s just Callahan being Callahan”.

Those fans don’t know it yet, but they’ll figure out at some point this season that Callahan going to Tennessee is a much bigger loss than they thought. They’ll probably still run the ball okay, but it won’t be the same.

Chubb and their left offensive tackle. Problem? It will affect the Dallas D coming together this game.

Why?

We have an elite qb. Lets put pressure on them with his deadly passes.

I love the running game.. If it's not mistaken the Cowboys have an offensive lineup which features Zack Martin as its smallest player. The Cowboys done gone road grader. So run the damn ball. The Cowboys have brought back their 225 pound hammer at Rb and have a 215 pound change of pace back rotating in. They also have a newly minted 270 pound blocking tight end. Run the damn ball. I don't care about the whole Dak Prescott contract business. I don't care how much they paid CeeDee. Run the damn ball especially early on in the season. I don't wanna see CeeDee with no training camp pull a hammie runnin 50 routes a game. Run the damn ball.

I'm not sure how much success we will have running the ball but luckily we have the runner up in MVP voting that should be able to put this team on his back and will them to victory.

with whom? these group of RBs averaging about 3 YPC is more realistic
And that's why in our case I believe that MM will pass TO SET UP the run

Not an Air Coryell situation but merely quick pin point passing routes

Yes, it goes against conventional thinking but it suits our situation to a tee.

I can see 40+ pass attempts and hopefully some productive runs because of it

Rocky is nervous cause it’s put up or shut up time now that the real games start.

He’s getting the excuses ready.

I can see it now come Sunday evening.

“We lost cause we didn’t run enough because either our RBs suck or our OLine sucks! Or Both! Dak can’t do it by himself!”

This will be the excuse if we lose regardless of how the RBs or OLine plays.

Rocky is just setting it up to use it later.
You’re obsessed.

Run the BALL and play super duper Defense someone needs to be carried big time and we all know who that is!!!
P.S. Now don't forget Cowboy players we need to jump out to a lead in the score and provide our offense at least 3 turnovers!!!
You should get benched with all the trolling you do.
