Run the dang ball

Prior to Daks contract all of the team's resources were put into the run game. This was done to extend Romos career. The same pieces are there yet we can run the dang ball with two HOF OL and a recently former Pro Bowl RB?

Yes defense travels but so does the running game. You want to tire out an opposing defense, run the dang ball!

Moore won’t commit to it. No way we’re going to a 5 degree GB and throwing the ball around when Dak can’t feel his hands.

Since Zeke hurt his knee on the sideline play it hasn’t been committed to since.

our running game is jeckyl and hyde. we ran like nobody's business against NO and WFt, two good run defenses and struggled mightily against AZ. it seemed we abandoned the run, because we didn't find success initially. we abandoned it too soon. we should committ to more 2 TE sets and force the issue.

and our run defense struggles to contain outside runs. not sure why. AZ ran the ball outside on the last drive rather easily and converted 1st down after 1st down.

Those were options which require the DEs to come up and take the QB and the backers to be there to take the pitch man. Our backers never made it out there .. don't ask me why.. The other runs were Murray scrambling/taking off.

My thoughts are that you are correct....we need to stick to the run and play off of it....Moore is the play caller, but MM has final say....don't know what is going on..

I agree id love to do this but our line is not creating the type of space it once did for Zeke and Zekes decline all have contributed to the difficulties were facing. if you think that these 2 HOF lineman are performing at levels they used to I got swampland in AZ to sell you.

I think this team misses badly the Travis Frederick of 16,17 and not to mention Leary who was certainty pivotal in our success. Tyron to me is declining rapidly how he made the pro bowl is beyond me but if you got the name i guess it stands for something

Do we understand why he's doing that? Maybe Zeke and Pollard just don't bring it anymore. You can see it in games, but maybe also in practice? So what is KM supposed to do? Your running backs can't carry the ball anymore, your QB stares like a deer into the headlights, our O Line can't block for crap.

I don't wanna defend him, just sayin we all just don't know enough about what's going on behind the curtain. So maybe it's on him, or maybe his guys just can't execute whatever he's drawing up anymore.

What are they supposed to bring on 2-3 carries per quarter? They combined for TWO carries in the entire second half of the AZ game. Both of those were by Zeke .. one for one yard.. one for negative one.. so we ran the ball with the backs twice in a whole half of football.. in a game that was never out of reach.. Why? Because "yards are yards"... according to Moore. There is no value in pounding a defensive front into submission.. All you have to do is let them punch your offensive line in the mouth 45 times and eventually they'll get tired of doing it.
