Bus driver isn't in the picture here, at all. You are probably basing the above response, on an emotional disappointment. Not facts in application. Everyone knows a team needs to run.

As to a direct attachment to this last game, and truth...some more things need included in a non-knee jerk burn barrel routine.

First, on topic of run...the team ran the ball and ran it well against San Francisco. That, even with a reduced roster, is a point of distinction that complies with a more generalized view of needing to run the ball. I'm hardly comparing this to a Forrest Gump quote: 'Run Forrest, run!'

That was not an emotional response based off of one game. This is a response based off the entire body of work of Romo's career, especially the last several seasons under Garrett.

We have clearly been a pass first, pass second, and sometimes pass third offense. Running the ball consistently has been an afterthought. Romo has a gunslinger mentality and Garrett clearly wants his QB to be that gunslinger in the Manning/Brees/Rodgers mold.

It's not working here. It hasn't and it's not going to start now. Romo can be a very efficient QB, but he needs to be reigned in. When you let him throw 45 times a game, and when you give him full reign over the offense, you're just asking for the kind of mistakes that he made yesterday, and has continued to make over the course of his career.

Garrett needs to do his job and coach him up.

Yet another run on of emotion. Provide substance to some of your points...actually present more than an abstract opinion on points.

There are plenty of direct comparisons, such as quarterback ratings, 4th quarter come from behind wins, as well as team accomplishments that does place Romo in the top echelon of quarterbacks. Try checking those facts out better.

We all were born in the past...but not everyone was born yesterday.

There are reasons why the league averages 60% of defensive plays to be in a package. And no, that wasn't because of Tony Romo...check it out instead of trying to prove someone else merely wrong.

Tony Romo needs to stop checking out of runs. It really is that simple. He needs to do a better job of trusting his teammates and coaches.

On the second drive of Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Romo was sacked for a 9-yard loss after eschewing a run to DeMarco Murray in favor of a quick pass to Dez Bryant from the Niners 2. Unable to make the pass attempt, Romo was sacked and the Cowboys had to settle for a field goal attempt.

On Sunday, the Cowboys called timeout before the change and altered personnel groups. The Cowboys had two tight ends, a fullback and tackle Jermey Parnell prepared to line up as an extra blocker, but the play clock was running down, requiring the timeout.

When the Cowboys came back on the field, Romo was in the shotgun with three wide receivers on the field. Murray was visibly frustrated after the play. He carried the ball three times for 17 yards on that drive.

I'm beginning to think the staff hates Murray. Two trips in the first half inside the five....Zero carries.

It's a different game if we run the ball in the red zone.

Funny thing is everyone knows why we got all the way inside the redzone........then once we get inside the 5 the shotgun passes start. Pathetic.

The Lions game a few years ago, the Packers game last year. Just a couple of examples of games directly lost by Garrett/Romo's pass happy tendencies. By the way, that Packers game was another where the coaches threw Romo under the bus for changing a run play to a pass that got picked (well, since that's clearly a problem, don't let him have that kind of power).

I know what Romo's numbers are. I've been a fan of the guy from day one. There's no numbers that put him in the Manning/Brees class, and that's what Jason Garrett keeps trying to turn him into.

I am of a mind that my emotional attitude towards teams is completely separate from what happens on game day. Only time I get a fear response is on game day. I remember SF going up several scores and feeling fear. So you weren't anxious when SF went up 3 TD?

Yes, I was worried but it's not the same as going into a contest and feeling afraid. This season, I don't expect us to be able to beat really good teams, which is not to say that I don't believe it can happen or will. I simply do not have as much invested because my expectations are lower for this team.

I understand your feelings...and hope they loosen up again.

I could not help but laugh during last night game. Giants get the ball on the 1. 1st and goal Pass, 2nd and goal pass, 3rd and goal run then 4th and goal pass for the TD. Please do not tell me other NFL teams with real NFL coaches do not pass the ball in that situation. NY does and so do all teams.
