Because were the Cowboys and people want to be us, so when they can get a man that wears the star, they do it, by george.

This is a classic case of a fan base over valuing their own trash thinking other teams value the trash. We got him off of the scrap heap for a scrap yard price. Its a gamble. Any other team that would have valued him could have paid him enuff to get him, and that wasnt the case.

Having said that I hope he has a career year for us if we dont get AP. Renovation projects are rewarding if they pan out . . .

Lamar Miller would be my top choice...............just $1.5 million for a 1000 yard back that is 24 yrs old................only down side is he is an UFA after this year so it might be a one year rental like we are doing with Hardy.

Of course if he blows up and gets a big contract offer like Murray did, I guess that is a good problem to have.:)

I agree with you totally. This is the only back worth trading a VERY important player like Leary for.

I was shocked the Cowboys had no interest in ex Eagle Chris Polk. Don't think he's a bell cow back, but would have made a terrific change of pace for Dallas who would eventually supplant DMC as the starter later in the season. Small, bowling ball type runner who only scored touchdowns when he was on the field.

Just to be clear here, I was only joking about why a team would trade for our back up as if they were starts. I am certainly in the camp that says we don't need a RB, were fine with what we have now. But I see my sarcasm did not translate well to the Internet. Sorry bout that.

Christine Michel from Seattle would be a good pick up and should come cheap

I honestly think he is the most likely. Dallas seems to have some value in SPARQ scores and Christines is off the charts. I think Seattle would move him because by the time they are ready to move on from Lynch, Christine will be a FA

I think Christine would do great here but I think Seattle thinks the same. I believe Seattle might be loathe to trade him to perhaps their biggest competition in the NFC.

It was on the latest Cowboys Break. Said it was more than 60% chance that he thought we trade for a bell cow that would replace Murray.

When you say " Murray caliber back" people are going to assume you are talking about a pro bowl level HB

That would be the catch. I think Christine runs for 1,500 next year if he is a Cowboy and what could they expect to get for him. A 3rd?

I think they would be very willing to trade him, but quite hesitant to trade him to us

You know the more times they say no AP and he is not for sale you know Jerry wants what they say he cannot get just wait. The only other option is Charles from KC , I mean if you want a dream offense here.I really believe Jerry will go all in here at some point. We really improved this may be our year.

Another thing to keep in mind guys is that an AFC team like Kansas City or Miami might be willing to trade us a RB way more than an NFC team. I mean, its pretty clear from all the media reports that RB is kinda the last piece to the puzzle and no NFC team wants to trade us the missing piece to a SB run. An AFC team probably doesn't care as much about that.

Just a thought.

Since when are media reports authoritative on front office strategy?
