Running back group could become a strength for this offense

We had a great offense in 25, top tier. That wasn't the problem and it won't be this season as well. The problem is when DAL can't win a game even though they scored 40 points, because the DEf is garbage.
We scored 14 against the Bears, 17 against the Cardinals, Chargers, and Giants, and 20 against the Eagles in game 1, all losses. You are correct that the DEF was garbage (I would never say otherwise), but in more than half of our losses, the high-powered offense did us no favors either.

As they say, they get paid on the other side of the ball too. Some DEFs have our number, like Denver

Williams didn't really slow down, he just got a neck stinger. With the team out of contention the Cowboys decided to cut back his workload before shutting him down for the finale.

JWill and Dowdle are the same player???

The running game was clearly better last year with JWill.
And let me add, take away Dowdle's 200 yard game against Eberflus' defense and his season stats were really below average.

I like JWill. I think he's a really solid back, but the injury concern is always in the back of our minds with him. If he can continue to stay healthy, fantastic. Otherwise, there's a pretty big question mark behind him. Unfortunately, that's just how it's going to have to be this season because we had too many other holes to fill this offseason....especially on defense (as we all know).....to really address the RB room.

I definitely would not call it a strength, however.
He has not been injury prone. He’s only had one major injury and some small stuff

I agree scoring more TD's is meaningless. We should stop.
Cute ignoring the second part, which invalidates the whole point.

If you think TD totals equate to "better" then you think Javontae williams is better than Saquon, Bijan and whoever else. You don't get to pick and choose when it matters.

We should stop because you can't actually prove your point.

I never said he was injury prone. I said there's an injury concern, which is different. After a major ACL injury, it's fair to wonder about a player's long-term durability, especially at running back.

I see where you’re coming from. But it doesn’t seem too many players reinjure that route of injuries but of course it can happen

There's Williams, Davis and then there's ? We've heard encouraging things about Blue and if there's going to be a needle-mover, he'd be the one so let's see.
You must not think very highly of Phil Mafah.

Blue has potential to really uplift the group but it's a pedestrian RB room other than that.

Williams is a nice player, but he's not special. Pretty much every team has a guy like him.
Williams averaged 4.8 yards and scored 11 TDs while carrying the ball 252 times. He rushed for more than 1,200 yards. I don't think pretty much every team has a guy like him.

He was 10th in the league in carries, ninth in the league in rushing yards, also ninth in the league in average for players who rushed for 1,000-plus yards and eighth in the league in TDs. So, it seems to me maybe 10 teams had a guy like him.
