This FO has never been proactive. Anyone who understands football knew a running game was important and that Pollard couldnt shoulder the load. If I am Jerry I am thinking seriously about trading for James Connor.

I hope they do.

Connor was an example. This team needs a RB who can handle the load. Pollard isnt that guy and never was, dating back to college. People here tried to tell the pro Pollard crowd, but they wanted Zeke gone (which makes sense) with no replacement.

Hes not the problem at all. Expecting him to be the solution after getting rid of Zeke was he problem. They needed a guy to handle the load and let Pollard continue to be explosive. The guy told the coach after the Chicago game he was gassed after 17 carries. That should have been enough to say, hmmm maybe we need another back. Charbonnet was there in the second. We took Schoonmaker. Torrance was there in the second. We took a TE. This is what I am talking about.

You ( and many others too) said the same thing at zeke. Now protecting tony by blaming o line.

If we had fixed the o line the last couple years....propably since losing fred....zeke might still be viable rb. Zeke gone and o line still cant make holes.
And no real rb replacement.

Fournette would be affordable and can get those tough yards still.

Everyone thought Pollard could be a lead back and have the production he had when he was a #2. He has doubles Elliots production. But still don’t look good. I think MM was hoping Deuce would be more of an impact. Our O-Line has not been playing well. We need to correct that.
