Running into the holder????

First, have NEVER seen that. Second, he was stunbling, and tried to pull up. I know they still only got the FG, but that was a big play and typical of the way that game was called. The ruffin' penalty on Ben was BS man. I freakin hate the Steelers.

"# A punter, placekicker, or holder who simulates being roughed by a defensive player."

For a 15 yard penalty....I dont see anything about roughing the holder, the player also was attempting to block the kick...

Yea, I think that Refs should try running at full speed and stop from hitting a guy two feet away. I mean, what a joke some of those calls were. Old school players have just got to be going crazy seeing calls like that.

Agree. Holmes had that dude's facemask as well. Should have been offsetting at worst. That drive alone AZ had 3 personal foul penalties. All bogus. The roughing on Ben was, OMG, pathetich. Dansby takes 1 step and hits him. Facemask before that then the roughing the holder pentaly all on the same drive. Amazing taht AZ held them to a FG. Problem is what if AZ gets off the field on any of those plays maybe they are not so tired at the end.

How about the roughing penalty on Harrison on the Arizona punt, they called it a post possession foul. Why was the made up roughing the holder not a post possession foul?

The Cardinals still held them to a FG, but 2:20 were spent on the clock, time that the Cardinals could have used to make a comeback.

It was pretty clear DRC had his helmet and you don't have to tackle or turn, just gripping it is enough for a penalty. You can get your fingers through, as long as you don't grip and he rode him out of bounds like that.

Running into the holder is a personal foul and has been you may not see it happen often but it is in the rules. I do agree that the roughing the passer was a poor call.

Yup, actually I saw his first and was expecting them to call it on Holmes but then they showed the replace and DRC had his too. Should have been a no call.
