With the running backs we have and the O line we have ,wouldn't you think the Boys would run the ball a hell of a lot more.
We used to run ,run, run. And by the 4th quarter the passing game was wide open and the D was spent. I don't know, even tho we don't get immediate results , I believe it would pay off in the end.
I don't get it.

agree.

I think there is a stat that says when Dallas runs more than they pass, we are 29-0.

running the football fixes everything.

Dallas has never accomplished real success without an elite RB.
Every Super Bowl they've played in they had one.

Hate to disagree but when the Cowboys went to Super Bowl X to face the Steelers their starting running backs were Preston Pearson and Doug Dennison.. neither of whom was ever referred to as "elite." They averaged 3.8 and 3.5 ypc and combined for less than 900 yards.. Fullback Robert Newhouse was the leading rusher that season.. with 930 yards but he didn't exactly set the world on fire either given that every team was a running team back then. That 930 was good for 12th in the league. Good, but certainly not elite.

Dak had two bad games this year. But Dak may just need a few more games to get back to his pre-injury form, meaning he was a running threat and a little bit more mobile in the back field. But MM and Moore also may need more time to get it right. First with Tyron on the field and Steele back to RT, the passing game is much improved. But with Tyron out, Boys should run a more balanced offense. Let the run setup the pass.

The Boys Oline is still good enough to run block, let the other team stop it, stop being scared to run Zeke/Pollard, bring in an extra TE or bring in an extra DL/OL in the back field. During the KC game and in power formations, Boys were having success and should of stuck with it.

I know these aren't exact but close estimates.

zeke averaged 3.6 yards a carry vs kc

pollard has 1 run of 31 yards then the rest averaged 3.6 yards a carry against kc.

The funny thing is we ran better than passing for most the game. 1st 3 quarters we averaged 2.5 yards passing.

Problem is the OL couldn't block a middle school jv team. We haven't been a great blocking team this year but against KC and Denver they were 100% exposed as frauds. They have time to correct it. Martin should get back to playing to his standard, collins will hopefully get better, mcGovern will hopefully improve and if we get Tyron back they'll be ok.

Totally agree and have talked about that run run and run thing before. Look at what the Niners did to the Rams with just a running game..

Who was that Browns QB/WR back in the days of Jim Brown? Look at those Lombardi Packers teams.with two Hall of Fame RB's.

You run the ball, ya do wear down a defense, which starts paying dividends in the second half.

We have had more stud RB;s than WR's. Every team can find 4 RB;s, they are all over the place. That is why ya don't spend big $$$$ on them,

It's not Carson Wentz in Indy, it;s JonathanTaylor.

I believe you take what the defense gives you. If they load the box and play man coverage on the WRs. someone has to be singled covered and that is the guy to look for. With Cooper and CeeDee, one of them is going to get single coverage. In this case, throw the football. If it is 2nd and 7 and the defense backs off, then run the football. But in both cases the OL has to at least block a little. If the dam breaks then no plays are going to work. I think running into 8 and 9 man fronts just to balance the numbers is dumb. KC was lining 10 guys up close to the LOS on some plays. You can't run at that. But that's when the Cowboys WRs had to win at the LOS and get some separation so Dak can make a few quick passes. Of course Dak was off and the WRs were dropping everything.

Having said that, even in the KC game there were plays where Dak had some protection and time to throw. That is when he needed to play like a $40 million QB. He did not do that. But he made a few throws that would have extended drives and Brown and Wilson dropped the throws. Those are killer mistakes.

I'd have to go back and watch the game but it seemed to me like despite all the pressure up front, Dak did not make that many quick throws. He double clutched a few times but never let it go.

The 2.3 comes from dumb WR screen that failed all game long. Need to have layered routes that attacks underneath, middle & top.

i absolutely hate all the throws behind the line of scrimmage. I think that was in part their attempt to get the ball out quick cause they couldn't block.
