I am curious and clue me in for those that might know....why wouldn't the Dallas Cowboys on a 1 year deal look at Fred Jackson. In my view hes closer to DEmarco Murray abilities than what we currently have available.

He's old and nowhere near as good as some posters on here are making him out to be.

For how many games can he sustain that? A month?

Murray looked worn down by December last year and refused to come off the field.

What is a 34 year old going to look like?

Just wait for some fresh legs to get cut and kick Dunbar out the door.

I'm going to go with 'the Cowboys don't share your view.' I'd also accept 'he's 34, so he's old.'

Fred Jackson is a 34-year-old running back coming off a season in which he had a 3.7 ypa rushing the ball. At this point, he's more of a specialist receiver out of the backfield than a rusher, and that's not really a big part of the Cowboys' game.

The Cowboys have a long term view and want to go young which means we are not interested in the oldest RB in the league last year.
