Nobody who actually watched Rush play is afraid of him taking their job. This is silly. Dak has the organization over a barrel; he knows he just has to play at an average marginal level and the job is his due to the contract. He ain't getting benched. It's the whole reason Rush is the back-up and not someone more competent to lead an NFL offense.

He will not get benched despite his average/marginal level, and he probably gets an extension knowing how inept this FO is.
Fans will still fill Jerrys pockets with str8 cash regardless.

Do you only watch Dak highlights, when he hits WRs that are wide open?
Do you ever watch an entire game and still believe in Dak despite his lack of fundamental abilities?
Lame duck Dak is not just some urban legend, his inabilities are obvious to anyone that has been given the gift of eyesight and rational observation skills.

We never scored more than 26 points this season with Rush at QB. Since Dak's return we’re averaging 33 points and our offensive production has gone way up. Rush only threw 5 TD passes in 5 games. Dak has 6 TD passes and a rushing TD in his last 3 games. You’re really lost if you think we’re not better off with him and that his teammates don’t respect him. You’re just spewing BS!

Prescott is tied for 29th in the NFL in third-down completion percentage with Sam Darnold and Ryan Fitzpatrick. He ranks 28th in third-down efficiency rating (60.0) behind Carson Wentz (61.3), who is having a miserable year by all accounts, and Mitch Trubisky (63.7), who was just benched.

I do it the old fashion way.

I watch a lot of college football, my sons high school game, the weekly Cowboy game, and one other prime time NFL game per week. I’m a season ticket holder and go to most of my College alma matters home games. So Yes I watch a ton of football (I played in college and my son will be playing as well. Football is big in my life).I know most of the posters on this board, the haters especially, only watch the one Cowboy game a week and that’s it. So most here don’t have a good perspective of what good and bad football is. Dak isn’t the best QB in the NFL, but I don’t think anyone here has ever said that. You guys act like the top 10 NFL QBs have 100% completion percentages and never throw picks. How much football do YOU watch? The pure hate for the guy on this board by a few people is ridiculous. The Cooper Rush threads, idiotic. Let the guy play it out and let playoff success dictate his place in Cowboys lore. Jerry’s an idiot, no question, but Dak would’ve received the same contract on every other of the 31 NFL teams. And why would that happen, because they don’t have the same eye test you apparently have. The hate is comical and sad at times. It’s only football. Like we have two QBs on this roster that can compete with the real competition.

Dak wins the starting gig because of his "status", we might win a few more games with Rush but it would never be enough to enter post season with any potential success.

We will ride the Dak train and he will continue to play well vs the worst teams in the league, but this team probably won't even make the post season with Dak.

I don't believe that anyone that has normal thought process and even average analytical skills is saying that Rush is a better QB than Dak, but neither QBs are relevant.

Dak is not relevant, but he is our best option.

Neither are even close in comparison to what an
average Kirk Cousins does in Minnesota.

The debate between Dak and Rush is futile at best but
OfCourse Dak wins every debate, he is our starter like it or not.

So we go forward with stat Dak, and a lot of peeps here are happy with that.

Only chance this team has left to even be close to relevant, is finding a way to convince Dak to leave and bundling picks to draft another QB, but 2023 is not the year to do that.

Dak and his agent have Jerry and this franchise over a barrel, and they played it perfectly.

Just a matter of time like next season 2023 that the other actual leaders on this team start to vocalize their displeasure with Dak.

It is going to get really ugly and even Dak knows it's coming.

When Dak wins the game for us? I thought this is a team game, not a Dak game. When the Cowboys lose a game because of Dak, it's a team game, but when the Cowboys win a game Dak is the one that won? Is that your position?
