Rush scares Dak to death

I watched the whole game over again yesterday and rewatched a lot of Rush's games. What is clearly evident is Rush gets the ball out quickly, often before the receiver turns to the QB and goes through progression when first option is not open. Dak on the other hand holds the ball until the receiver turns to the QB and then throws, and takes a bit longer to go throw progression. That slight delay in throwing and going through progression is the difference and why Dak struggles to be consistent and accurate. The results will be the same with either QB. Neither are difference makers, but I'd rather take a smarter QB any day. You can forgive physical errors. Its much harder to forgive mental errors.

Does that scream confidence to you? Not to me. And he plays like it. Scared to pull the trigger early and when he does it’s bad. Coaches see it. Players see it. Fans see it. This offense is not firing the way it should be .

Would he have any trade value?

I doubt it. We scored 28. Dak was not good Sunday. But we still scored enough to win, but we were let down by poor defence and poor coaching as well. This was a team loss for the most part. We caught a break with Philly losing. We still have a shot at the division. We play each team in our division 1 more time. Take care of those games and let’s see what happens.

Is Dak a better Qb than Rush?

Well in certain situations he clearly is not. He has a better arm. I’m not sure about anything else the more I watch.

But Rush’s sample size is small, including when he has a bad game. Rush was off from the beginning, meaning his throws at the start were off. He also was getting pressured heavily.

Even then, the game was down to 3 by the 4th and Rush played decent in the second half.

Is Dak a better Qb then Rush? Maybe. Is Rush a better QB than Dak? Maybe. Rush did have a bad game. But it also was against an undefeated Philly. I mean that’s big…that’s a big game. No excuse he lost. But he didn’t look like the game go to big for him. He seems to stay composed.

We should be furious. It's not the end of the season but it's maddening.

Well you move on then. For some people....same old same old. They deserve their say as much as anyone else. Years and years in the making. This team deserves this until they prove differently.

Not only does Dak know that he brings marginally more to the table, but he also knows the team does not respect him.

We know this by all the positive affirmations that the coaches send out to Dak. Owners glowing about what an incredible leader he is and how his star shines so bright.

This team played at a different tune for rush and nobody know it more than Dak. Of course he has the money and the starting job and a great night sleep on his comfy bed, but deep down, Dak knows he’s a below average qb who hoodwinked the cowboys for a lot of money.

The skins just beat the eagles with a backup qb similar to rush and they did it with the same formula we use. Except they have mcclaurin and a dominant defensive line.

Dumbest post I’ve read this year. Any idiot can see that Rush is not an NFL QB. No one is afraid of it. While I get sick of the Dak stinks threads, at least that’s an opinion that can be supported in some games, but this one is simply beneath a 2nd grader. Stick to the “Dak is bad” theme. It’s old and tired, but not as dumb as this one.

I went back and watched the first few plays of the GB game. IMO it was a mess.
Dak was off...to put it mildly.
Maybe not all his fault, but geezzz-Louise....can he throw it within 3 yards of his targeted receiver?

Their passing game takes too much time to get going.

His first two drives were 3 and outs and he was 0-4. Yeah he played better in the middle of the game, but then he disappeared and went 2-6 for 9 yards in the 4th. Yeah, the defense was a train wreck, but the offense has to shoulder a lot of the blame too for the slow start and the choke finish. In a game where 59 points were scored, the offense contributed to 42 of them.

We are 5-1 when Dak is on the bench in the last 2 seasons. Dak is overcompensating to try and show he's "the man", but he's just not talented enough to be "the man" and it shows.

It's liking watching someone treat your significant other better and now you're back in the picture failing to impress them while the other guy is just standing there watching.

Dak is ruined just like Wentz is ruined.

Washingtons quarterback had a defense that didn't crumble after his turnoversRush on any other team would be a 3rd stringer or out the league. I do agree the team plays harder with Rush in there but that's because they have to -to have any chance at winning. You sure you're a Cowboy fan? Just asking for clarification.

I think the style of football Dallas plays w/ Rush at QB is better for them. Slowing down the pace, more time of possession and obviously more running the football. Outside of the Eagles game, I don't think Rush had a single turnover.

I agree...the premise of knowing these players is a stretch. And....Disagreement is the spice of life...on a message board.
