Didn't complete a single pass over 10 yards...
I would be surprised if that’s ever happened in the NFL before. To complete 13 passes for only 45 yards seems like it would be almost impossible.

Holy…

We’ve all seen cognitive dissonance. We are seeing it again.

Rush is not an NFL-quality backup.
I beg to differ. After all he was 5-1 as a starter before this last game.

Realistically your backup quarterback isn't expected to come in and lead a poor team to victory over a very good team. If he could do that, he'd be a starter somewhere else.

No, he's supposed to come in and be a bus driver, do enough to keep the rest of the team functioning somewhat close to as when the starter is in, let the stars do a bit more than usual to make up for the stater not being in there, the line calls change to keep the backup from having to make tight throws, etc.

And most of all your defense has to step up.

None of the 5above things happened.

He should have done better, but winning the game wasn't happening...

Just goes to prove people see what people want to see. Rush sucked.....6 point's in 4 quarters. many redzone chances...Dallas shouldn't bring back any quarterback we have next season. Rush should be the first of them.....
Compared to daks 9...not too shabby.:)

I expect a back-up to be able to consistently make NFL throws. Rush can’t do that. He physically can’t do that. Minimally, back-up or otherwise, a QB has to be able to make NFL throws. It’s the first check on the list of requirements to be an NFL QB, even for a “bus driver”-type of QB.

The 5-1 record was fool’s gold. He survived off of an effective, reliable running game and a turnover producing defense. True, he doesn’t have any of that right now, but it just highlights how awful he is.

What on earth has happened to the sanity of this forum? Rush wasn't that bad? Rush made Dak look like Joe Montana, how is this even a discussion board? Good grief, I honestly need to get banned from this site. How does one go about doing so?
Leeblair says: "......but but but Eagles had to go through long drives. except when he fumbled, which we will overlook because its not an interception which gives more boost to a defense than a fumble does!!!"

he couldn't get a TD when the defense handed him the ball at the 6......

the defense was giving up an average of 13 points a game in those 5 wins. but somehow it was because of Rush they played so much better. although none of them can point to any evidence, except the intangibles LOL

lol, wow. This truly made me laugh. I mean literally laugh. You have to be the only person that watched that game and reached this conclusion. One pass lost in the sun isn't an excuse for the entirety of his play. It's nonsensical to suggest it is.

In almost 3 quarters of play he only had 45 yards passing. He averaged 2 yards per passing attempt. His QBR was 16.4. A number of passes were so far off target the receiver never had even the slightest chance of getting a fingertip on the ball, and we were left looking to see if there was possibly another receiver he was throwing to only to find the throw was just that bad.
well, if you know lee, you would understand he bases an entire career on one single play. he once claimed and argued vehemently that Kellen Moore was a HOF type QB, because of one play he saw, which btw, was an interception.....not sure how he came to that conclusion, but the idiocy speaks for itself.

just humor him. he is the village idiot as they say.

Trolling again?
He was horrible.
Trey looked much better.
The results were just as horrible. Neither one is a NFL starting caliber QB. It will be a miracle if we win three more games. Injured Dak is better than those two.

I think they said it was one of the top 10 worse ever in NFL history for anyone throwing more than 20 passes.

but Ryan leaf one time had a stat line that was 1/15 for 4 yards, 3 fumbles and 2 interceptions.
I literally had to rub my eyes and read that again.

Except for CeeDee losing the ball in the sun, the Cowboys would have been leading at the end of the first half.
The Eagles got a turnover, but other than that Rush kept their offense forced to drive the length of the field to score.
It makes a difference, and our defense responded by holding the Eagles pretty well.
Rush did make the Cowboys a better team.
But, the momentum the Eagles gained at the end of the first half and beginning of the third quarter was too much to overcome with McCarthy continuing to be ultra conservative with the offense.
We had our chances to stay in this one but Between the Sun and Zeke's fumble well it just was not meant to be.
Rush had a bad game as the game plan was built for a more inept talent (Dink and Dunk Heaven Road) and simply didn't match up with Rushes' attributes.
Just to be clear here Rush is not a starting NFL QB but is a capable backup as he's proven with a 5-2 record as a starter.
Let them attack you (its frustrations they have with another player who keeps proving them wrong) and keep posting the truth.
Funny how Zeke fumbled again when his bud was injured again as he did the same thing after Dalton beat the Giants vs the Cards the following week.
Anyway always enjoy your posts.........and ignore any ill that comes your way as it proves you've hit a vein of truth.
Reality states: The Cowboys haven't had a franchise-caliber QB under center since Romo.

actually there have been many backup QBs who have been really good and come in and lead the team to a win against a good team. one Jason Garrett comes to mind who beat GB on thanks giving. there are several others.

he was 5-1 and for fans who just look at the title of a book and make a decision on its quality, it may make sense. then you dig in a little and find out, he was 5-1 although he led an offense which was 22nd in every statistical category or worse. so why did we win? the defense was averaging 13 points a game and they actually scored on a couple of occasions. the last time Rush laid an egg like this, we beat the rams, because the defense was directly responsible for 10 points and Rush had 76 yards of passing. so with a defense like that he struggled to be below average. without a defense like that...he had no chance. we saw that too in the 5-1 results. the first time a team scored more than 20 points, he laid and egg and had 3 interceptions because we were forced to pass the ball and he just can't.

I am ready to see what Lance can do and put that baby to rest too.

That one reception he had was to Freddie Jones. You now have the answer to an awesome trivia question.

I call bullshiet......the sun is now an excuse!!! really!!! wow, that sound like pure desparation of an excuse. Zeke fumble? how about Rush fumbling multiple times? including at our end of the field?
dink and dunk? you claimed loudly we are going to see an offense that will pass more than 8 yards in the air. your Rush had 4 passes that went for 0 or negative yards!!!! no pass completed more than 10 yards.
WOW....don't you feel like a fool for tying yourself to the Rush anchor...

dude, if you don't understand football and the only thing about NFL for you is the TMZ angle, then just stay out of real football related stuff.
its hilarious that its everybody else's fault for Rush laying a big fat egg....nah it couldn't be Rush. its the sun I say...its zeke.....

so before this week it was thumping your chest and claim he is 5-1....now you are thumping your chest...he is 5-2 and after that 5-3 and then 5-4 and then your tune changes to he won 5 games!!!!

too hilarious...you and Leeblair are like monkey in the middle and its fun to watch
