I'm just going off spotrac. According to them, Zeke accounts for $4.5 mil this year and $5.6 mil next year, while Murray's price tag is $6 and $6.25 mil respectively. I won't pretend to vouch for the accuracy of their information, but they're generally considered a trusted source for salary related info.

To me the dead money is a moot point. Dead money only becomes relevant if and when the player is cut, and that's not happening.

DMurray's deal is also distorted because PHI paid the signing bonus and had to eat 4m in dead money this year......EE is cheaper compared to DMurray's original deal of 5/40m but not by much

If EE's 5th year option is exercised and then he is Franchise Tagged he could be under contract for 5yr/34 and/or 6yrs/45m... the tag number for RBs is trending down and if APeterson's contract isn't picked up it will drop dramatically

The original assertion was that Zeke was better, younger and cheaper.

I conceded the first two points. The argument that he is cheaper is just not true when you look at the actual dollars and draft capital.

Shouldn't better and younger be of greater value.

I was so pissed we dissed DMurray and let him leave(any Zoner will tel you I was his biggest cheerleader) because I saw how great our O was with him pounding the rock...PHI was a bad fit Kelly signed him just to hurt us and it worked.....DMurray is showing he still has it this year with TENN

I didn't want any part of the RBBC with Randle and DMC and hated to see people falling for the mediocre yards DMC was getting last year.....he just wasn't a threat but Romo was hurt so no biggie as long as they didn't trot him out there again this year

I wanted EE as soon as he exploded on the scene in Columbus but never thought we could get him....once Wentz and Goff were gone he was a no-brainer......it has been fun telling all the haters(TM and CPT) that EE was going to star but this is even better than expected

I even threw Dak into most of my mocks(usually in the 6th) but I was nervous after the Senior Bowl he was getting too hot.....thank God we took him in the 4th....combined with EE this may be the best draft in our history....and it can only get better if JSmith ever recovers

Murray is a good back. Last year he was in an offense that didn't fit his style.

I don't think the Eagles really wanted Murray.....they just wanted to get him away from us.

You got that right!! He went from 1,800 yards to 700 the next year. Then we ended up with Zeke.....I would say that move backfired on the Eagles.
