Rusty's 3.0 no trade 2025 mock draft

I wouldn't hate it one bit. I too would prefer something beside OL at 12 but I understand that it is absolutely a possibility to happen depending on how the board falls. I think we need to get our dominate OL back to help the run game and the offense as a whole. But I also think we may have the guys in house already. If Guyton takes the step up I feel confident that between Beebe, Hoffman, Richards and Thomas we have C and RG at least solid, at worst.
So saying that, I don't know how your board fell when you made this mock, but I'd be tempted to take either a DE or a WR at 12 and take OL later.

Exactly, and, if we want to run the ball, then oline round 1 can be helpful. Unfortunately, McMillan was gone and it was a bit early to go Williams (though I might do that on a later no trade mock). Oh, and Jeanty was gone (plus, I like Kaleb Johnson a lot too). So, in that case, I figured, especially with Martin being gone, when in doubt, go oline and I like Booker. Especially since it then means Guyton, Smith, Beebe, Booker, and Steele. That's a much better oline.

The safety Sebastian Castro has some experience covering slot receivers, so he may have a little bit of nickel corner to his game as well.

I would agree, players with more skill sets are valuable, Castro could help you as a strong safety. Then again he can help you in nickel and special teams.Looking forward to the draft.

Same here, and, if it comes down to it, I think (even with Lewis departing) if we could only go corner OR safety, then id probably lean safety. Lewis was a nickelback corner. Castro can do that and more being a prototypical strong safety. So, he'd fit more needs, and we have a long history of needing safety help.
