Well, the Cowboys have a big game on Sunday. I think a win on Sunday against the Rams can help give the Cowboys momentum going into the game against Philly. So, here are my keys to beating the Rams, at least the way I see it.
- Limit Nacua and Kupp - this is easier said than done, but it's down to DQ to come up with a way to limit Nacua and Kupp. They'll get yards, but DQ needs to find a way to have our DBs cover them and limit them. Obviously, the easiest way is to keep the pressure on Stafford. However, the DBs need to be ready. This will be a tough task, but a good test heading into a battle against AJ Brown and Devonte Smith.
- Do not let Aaron Donald take over the game - again, easier said than done. Aaron Donald can wreck a game. Our oline, especially the interior oline, is going to need to play a very good game to not let him take over the game. If they can limit him like they did last year, we can beat the Rams defence.
- Feed Cooks - they're going to try to take away Lamb. Cooks needs to be a focal point in this game. Let's not forget, he played two seasons with the Rams in 2018 and 2019. So, he knows how to get open against their secondary. Use his knowledge to our advantage. Use him and the next point to get Lamb opportunities.
- Use Dak's legs - I don't mean broken plays. I mean actually design runs for Dak. Make it that much harder for Donald to get after Dak. Make the Rams have to account for this. This and feeding Cooks can open the rest of our receivers up.
- Limit the penalties - do not give the refs a reason to throw a flag. You can't beat good teams if you're committing the penalties we committed against the Chargers. Play smart.
