If they dont go QB this draft (now that Brissett is gone) I wouldnt mind this signing. Underrated, smart and good arm

He claims he's going to retire because he's not happy with the Jets $9 mil a year offer. He's said to be holding out for a deal in the $15-16 mil year range.

No way he comes here to be a backup for $3-4 mil per year.

Fitzpatrick is a starting caliber QB. He isn't going to take a backup job, or backup pay for that matter.

I would like to take a project like Cardale Jones before Cook or Prescott. Hogan wouldn't be a bad pick in the 5th or 6th round.

Cook, Prescott, Hogan still out there.

No interest in any of them, especially Cook (POS) and Hogan (funky throwing motion). Both are also horribly inaccurate. I'm okay with Prescott, but I'd rather have Jeff Driskel.

Stephen will take a flyer on a late round QB....Cook, Allen or Hogan and then try and sign Brian Hoyer as a back up....instead of fixing the problem like they (Jerry) said was an off season priority they are filling it with JAGs...hoping Romo can play 15 games.

Long live Tony Romo....life without him is going to be ugly quickly...

Dude went to Harvard - pretty sure we're not going to fool him with a below average offer and a seat on the bench.

If he went to Harvard then he is smart enough to know he is a career journeyman back-up QB

He should take 5m per to hold a clipboard for 2 more years

But I was also told by several geniuses here that Fitz was re-signing with NYJ and I was fool to think otherwise when I mentioned his name back in March

I would be very surprised if Dallas takes QB in this draft. That would mean two drafted players won't even see field from this draft class. Jaylon Smith was their mulligan for draft.

Watching tape on most of these QBs and the one that most reminds me of how Romo plays is Hogan. Seems to have a field awareness about him and a tenacity to try and get the most out of each play. It isn't always pretty, but with Romo it isn't either. I could see him fithing in behind him here as QB2.

Ryan Fitzpatrick needs to get over himself. He has had more opportunity to win a #1 job than most guys ever get. He looks great for stretches of spot duty, but wilts beneath the pressure of being "the guy". He couldn't lock up the job in Tennessee, Houston or with the Jets. He may be stop-gap starter material, but he's nothing more.

He wants too much money, and he wants to start, I think the Jets wind up caving and give him more money than hes worth.

Kid of reminds me of John Kitna.... I can see us taking a shot w/ him. Problem is....He thinks he still a starter...and wants to be paid like one. Jets are offering him 10 mil a year...and he's balking @ that. He wants to be paid for last years performance. He needs to realize...even though he had a decent season...Jets still missed the playoffs under his command.
