Watching tape on most of these QBs and the one that most reminds me of how Romo plays is Hogan. Seems to have a field awareness about him and a tenacity to try and get the most out of each play. It isn't always pretty, but with Romo it isn't either. I could see him fithing in behind him here as QB2.

Yea, and like Romo he should have at least a couple years to work on his technique.
At this stage, don't care who we draft at QB. Just didn't want one in rounds 2 or 3

I'm afraid Linehan has convinced Jerry that his boy noodle arm is capable of taking over the team. I really hope I'm wrong

He is not going to sign on as a back up.

Ryan Fitzpatrick needs to get over himself. He has had more opportunity to win a #1 job than most guys ever get. He looks great for stretches of spot duty, but wilts beneath the pressure of being "the guy". He couldn't lock up the job in Tennessee, Houston or with the Jets. He may be stop-gap starter material, but he's nothing more.

He actually played pretty damn good last year.

Fitzpatrick has had one good year and is mediocre otherwise. I would love to have him as a backup but the guy should resign with the Jets. Nobody's going to pay him that.

Doesn't he want $8 million per year and a starting job.

Other than that I want him also..

More than twice that. You can't pay starter money to a backup QB and the jets offered him more than we have cap space

The jets are a playoff caliber team who has drafted qb's like we draft te's and no success. He a decent QB who fits well in that offense. He's not worth what he wants but he's not signing for what backups are getting paid either.

Then he can go use that degree n make more money.....

Idk. Always kind of thought those teams, and Buffalo, should have stuck with Fitz longer. I mean- look at the teams we're talking about... none of them have really found a worthy starter since. Perhaps Tenn. finally has; Mariota. But Geno Smith?.. lol Maybe Fitz is a jerk or something.

If he went to Harvard then he is smart enough to know he is a career journeyman back-up QB

He should take 5m per to hold a clipboard for 2 more years

But I was also told by several geniuses here that Fitz was re-signing with NYJ and I was fool to think otherwise when I mentioned his name back in March

You know what - that's an excellent point.

He has said he would rather retire than play for 8m a year. He isn't coming here for 3 or 4m. Keeping fooling yourself.

Kid of reminds me of John Kitna.... I can see us taking a shot w/ him. Problem is....He thinks he still a starter...and wants to be paid like one. Jets are offering him 10 mil a year...and he's balking @ that. He wants to be paid for last years performance. He needs to realize...even though he had a decent season...Jets still missed the playoffs under his command.

Yeah if he would come over for less and be #2 that would be great !!!
