Ryan Russell

Are we saying our scheme is too difficult or that our coaching isn't good enough....or something different?

maybe its our system lol don't the bucs employ a wide 9 pass rushing technique? Ours is a straight up line up over the tackles technique.

We have had quite a few players that left dallas and played great elsewhere. I have always wondered this same question myself, why we're they trash here.

I think those two sacks are his only two appearances on a stat sheet this year. Im not even sure he had a tackle.

He had all the measurables so its a bummer he didn't work out.

mayowa being inactive and ryan davis out there struggling really is hurting the team right now.

I think the philosophy is a tad difficult.

We know that the guys are encouraged to play high octane every down, but personally I think that makes the job of the opposing lineman easier.

For lack of a better analogy, the Cowboys DL throws its fastball every single play and the OL just adjusts.

Honestly that's the case with every team in the league

I was at the Bucs Game today. Bucs have a nice Dline. Noah Spence, Gerald McCoy, Robert Ayres, Russell, they were all over Russell Wilson.

yea, but in all fairness, he's long been past his rookie deal. we gave up on him too early, but he likely would have been gone anyway.

I don't think he would help us now. I think that was when we were still going 3-4 defense. I think he is still being used as an 3-4 pass rushing OLB but I could be wrong.

Ayres is the guy the Cowboys should have went hard after. Big miss.

Yep. Posted about him in the offseason when looking at FA's. One of the most productive pass rushers in the NFL on a per snap basis.

But, he was 30 at the time, and for some reason people think just because you hit 30 you somehow start needing a walker with tennis balls on the bottom. (Terrence Newman says hay)
