Agreed. I mean he is going against our all rookie secondary everyday in all reality.
He isn't just beating rookies......in all reality. It's cool though Switzer is used to the doubt, so was Dak and you see how that turned out.

I'm willing to bet you anything right now Switzer out produces Beasley this season

If you mean total yards, yes, I can see that. Switz should be great in the return game. Offensive production, he won't be on the field enough without an injury.

I bet you he will be on the field plenty in the offense. He was a running back, this team will line him up every where in the formation including the outside

Switzer will win rookie of the year. Don't take my word for it though just sit back and watch
Does he have the potential? Absolutely? Will he? Probably not...but it's not his fault. The Cowboys have way too much talent on the offensive side of the ball for him to make the type of waves those honors would necessitate. You have to think at least one offensive weapon went to a team where he will be featured. Switz is going to have an extremely hard time being featured when we already have one of him in Beasley, surrounded by the likes of Dez, Zeke, Witten, TWIll, etc.

That said, based on the tape I've watched and everything I've read, he has that type of talent. Hopefully, he can bring it all to bear with the few opportunities he gets.

I just don't see what you see. We are a run first team and the majority of our packages are setup that way. And on 3rd down there is going to be Witt, TWill, Beez and Dez.

I am only seeing him in on 2nd or 3rd and very long in our 4 wide set and they just don't run that set very often because they are reluctant to take Witt out of the lineup in those crucial situations.

Someone is going to have to get hurt or he is going to have to beat someone out to get the snaps you are envisioning.

I will say this: I am projecting a slight increase in the 10 personnel (Dez, TWill, Beasley, and Switz) to both create the defensive nightmare that alignment is and to preserve Witten's career.

He isn't the same as Beasley. I get what your saying, I just disagree.

He will be our number 2 receiver behind Dez. He will get snaps at RB and returner. Season isn't far away and you will see

And it is certainly okay if you do disagree. But I am slightly confused...because I wasn't saying he is the same as Beasley. I was simply saying because of Beasley, Dez, Witten, Zeke, etc, there won't be enough balls thrown his direction for him to be considered rookie of the year. I'm definitely not saying he doesn't have that type of talent, because I honestly think he does. I just don't think he'll get the opportunity necessary to be considered for those honors.

You have a great point. I think he makes enough plays to move up the depth chart and gets more chances

Well, unless he supplants Beasley, I still don't see it. Because at the end of the day both Switz and Beas are slot receivers; their size dictates that. So, in order for him to get the amount of touches necessary for rookie of the year honors, he would have to leapfrog Beasley...he has the talent to eventually do that, but I don't see it happening in his first year...2nd year might even be a stretch. I do think the Cowboys will operate in the 10 personnel grouping (4 wide receiver set) more as a result of his acquisition and I could definitely see him making a serious splash given the level of talent he will be surrounded by, but unless the Cowboys are in the 10, chances are Switz will be on the bench meaning his snap count could be in the teens at the end of the day. So, again, while I would absolutely love to see Switzer garner that type of consideration, I simply don't see the coaching staff moving him up the depth chart that fast, especially considering that right now given Beasley's understanding of the offense and his experience against NFL level competition, he is by a country mile the better receiver over Switzer. Like I said earlier, that could change really quick...I just don't see it happening in Switzer's first year...but I seriously hope I'm wrong!
