The Cowboys are keeping him around for a reason but I don't think their plans are based on using him as a starter with his history of injuries. Of course, if he proves himself reasonably durable in the preseason, they might reconsider and actually utilize him. He could also come in handy if our draft pick is Gurley and the team might want to restrict his activity until recovery from his knee injury is beyond doubt.
