The 2011 class exemplifies Jason Garrett’s philosophy of stocking the team with character guys.
Four of the eight drafted were captains in college: second-round linebacker Bruce Carter from North Carolina, fourth-round guard David Arkin from Missouri State, sixth-round wide receiver Dwayne Harris from East Carolina and seventh-round fullback Shaun Chapas of Georgia .
“I was a guy that led by example,” Carter said. “I wasn’t as vocal as I wanted to be, but the one thing I did very well was lead by example and do the right thing on and off the field.”
