Do you think he starts the season on limited snaps?
Definitely. Even if he's 100%.

Hitchens was laying out cats in the last game too.
Hitchens couldn't stalemate a kitten.
The runt of the litter.
What happened to Bruce Carter? Is he in the league still or did he retire?Every time I see Smith I keep thinking it's Bruce Carter
Still 3 preseason games to play.......Smith will be opening day starter. The best players play and Smith is betterYes. I said months ago Hitchens is the starter still.

He's playing, Syd? I've been out of the loop. Can't say when the last time I was this excited for a preseason game. Sure, we've had great new players play before and excitement to see them, but this is different.
You have a guy who was a Top 5 talent who had a horrible leg injury that threatened his career. We gambled big time on him and Saturday starts the process of figuring out if the Cowboys won big or lost.

In that case, I bet he could take Wentz on 1 on 1 and win.
His injury is 100 percent healed.......guess what he is playing this weekend when some said he wouldn't play this year. Not sure why some think he won't play week 1I don't think its a question of talent.....I think its more about how to handle him and his health. If he was 100% healthy....this wouldn't be a discussion. That's one consistent I've heard these past few weeks about Jaylan....its about getting him healthy and about him having a long career.....not just opening night in mind.
He may play, but the latest test I read/heard about indicated the nerve is 80% regenerated so it is unlikely he starts. Like @xwalker said above, he will likely be in on passing downs in consideration of his coverage ability and quickness getting into his drops. If the play only calls for one linebacker, Lee will be that guy, so very few snaps for Jaylon in the beginning. A reinjury at this point could end his career so slow, steady and deliberate is definitely the smart course. His injury is 100 percent healed.......guess what he is playing this weekend when some said he wouldn't play this year. The nerve could be 100 percent tomorrow. The injury he suffered is healed completely already. He may play, but the latest test I read/heard about indicated the nerve is 80% regenerated so it is unlikely he starts. Here's some footage by shango. 54 is literally everywhere. Always in position and moving well. Some great stuff by dez as well.
One of the Cowboys media people guessed Jaylon would play base downs with somebody else playing in Nickel.
I'm thinking the opposite, where Jaylon is used more in coverage and less against the run to start the season.
Hitchens is good against the run. His issues have always been in coverage. Last season they used Hitchens in base and Durant in Nickel.
Pass coverage was Jaylon's best attribute in college. He even covered slot WRs like a Nickel CB at times.
