His injury is 100 percent healed.......guess what he is playing this weekend when some said he wouldn't play this year. Not sure why some think he won't play week 1

You're blathering sunshine at this point. He's healing up but his recovery is not at 100%.

- If it was he'd not still be wearing a brace
- If he was he wouldn't be on a "pitch count" for practice reps.

Always love Shango vids. Thanks, Kaotik! :star:
Jaylon is too hyped up to me still, even in the video that Shango dude was hyping up plays when Jaylon didn't even do well. lol I noticed that a lot in his Norte dame film. I'm not a fan of run defense Jaylon. Pass defense I like him

Can he rush the QB and tackle and cover TEs, and cover CBs? We need him to do it all.

The nerve could be 100 percent tomorrow. The injury he suffered is healed completely already.
So respectfully all these talk about what the Cowboys will do is just mere talk. He has just as much chance to be week 1 starter as he had of only coming in on 3rd downs.

I think he keeps proving people wrong (like back to back pad practices when he was only going to go 1 practice then rest for example) and not only plays this weekend but plays very well that says him up for the starting job by week 1.

We still have 3 preseason games to go, having 5 this season is a blessing
Actually, that is not accurate at all. Nerve regeneration does not occur over night. On average, it can mend at around 1mm a day. Around the beginning of training camp, he was 80%, but without knowing the amount of Millimeters left to regenerate, I couldn't tell how close he is now...I just know it is unlikely he will be 100% by the start of the regular season.

Keep in mind, no one here is denying his talent or potential. We all see that. But personally I am in no hurry to see him out there if he is even a slight risk to re-injure the knee.

No one said he wouldn't play. I said he's not 100% healed.....they're working him in slow like they should. You guys are thinking about week 1. The Cowboys and Jaylon are thinking about his career. They'll work him slow and progress it by the week I'd imagine.

I understand what you are saying but it could heal at a faster rate or slower rate. Only the team knows, we as fans can only assume.

Being that the team is cautious with him and he is playing in week 2 for preseason with 3 weeks to go is pretty telling that he is ready

Edit.....without any set backs

I'm sure the Cowboys know more about his situation then you or me. Facts are he is playing week 2 of preseason and without any setbacks he will start week 1 against the Giants.

Keep in mind, I really hope you are right on this. I am as anxious to see what he brings as anyone. That said, my ultimate hope is that he is healthy beyond anything else. I'm looking forward to seeing this weekend, but I suspect we are in for a disappointment, as he will likely be on a fairly specific snap count...and they may even error on the side of caution and remove him sooner than later.

Just him being out there on the field will be major and will lift the guys around him. He's that type of player. I, personally, don't expect to to see much in the way of performance 1st game back but getting that 1st game out of the way will be HUGE.

I think so far in camp he has went beyond expectations. I agree with you that he will be on a snap count. Possibly a few snaps then pull him to see how he feels, then depending on that perhaps let him play a few more snaps.

It will be interesting to watch

I agree they know....that's where my opinion is coming from lol. From the Cowboys. I never said he wouldn't start. I said they would work him in slow. That's what the Cowboys organization has said. They want to see what he can handle first before they throw him out there for a full game.

But maybe your idea of working slow is different then the teams idea of working slow......i agree that they're taking it cautious with him, as they should

Yeah. As they should.. . No one wants to see any reinjury of the area that kept him out of football for over a year. But as soon as he shows he's not favoring that area and back to his old disruptive self, they're going to take the ankle weights off.

Yep. Everybody keeps saying he won't start week 1 but if he has a great game this weekend and no setbacks he will do more and with 3 weeks left he will earn that job
