I'd be conservative on the sack expectations.

Donald Penn was one of the few left tackles to hold him without a sack last year.

As long as he supports the run, gets decent pressure and covers when necessary, I could care less if he goes sackless. It is a very overrated statistic.

they said they were going to move ware around this year to create the match ups they want. and to make the qb find him every play

Theres a reason for that and it wasnt because of Donald Penn, it was John Gruden's system along with Jeff Garcia's veteran play. I saw a stat last year that the Bucs were the team that took the most 3 step drops in the league and I beileve Garica was the least sacked QB.

How many sacks do you guys think Ware gets this week? Leftwich is a statue back there and I am guessing 2-2.5 sacks for Ware. Leftwich has averaged 1 sack per 16.9 which isn't bad, but I think Ware cuts loose this Sunday.

I think Ware is good for 2 sacks this game. Maybe even a few more!

No sacks. He's facing Zuttah/Trueblood. In fact, they may take sacks away from him.

;)

Don't you mean Penn and Zuttah?

I will be surprised if he gets more then 1.5 +/-.5. Tampa runs a west coast offense, which features a lot of 3 step drops. Also, I think they will rely on a heavy dose of Cadillac if they are going to have any chance of staying in the game. Lefty slow wind up might let him squeeze in another .5 sack.

Everyone should keep in mind that sacking a QB is not an easy feat even for an athlete as gifted as Ware.

I will be happy with 1 sack and that one would be a strip on Leftwich which results in a fumble recovery.:) :)

I think Ware will be trying to do that more and more this year and might miss a few sacks because he is going for the strip first.

I think he pretty much said his and the defense focus was going to be on creating turnovers.

Put me down for 3. I think Wade will be moving Ware around trying to create different mismatches

I am just saying don't sleep on Penn. He's not some scrub for Ware to abuse.

I am sure Phillips will move Ware around, but I think he'll line up in his normal spot the majority of the time. That said, your point is valid. Garcia is tougher to sack than a lawn ornament like Leftwich, but I am pretty certain the Buccaneers aren't going to leave him out to dry. As much as we are talking about stopping the run first, I expect short quick passes from Leftwich, play action galore and eventually they will take their shots deep later on once (or if) they are able to establish the run.

I expect a huge tackle game from Keith Brooking. I anticipate a nice upgrade from Zach Thomas, against both the run and pass. Even in the preseason, you could see he was producing due to his familiarity with the scheme.

Can't disagree with any of the above.
