Good thing you didn't see him next to Andy Reid. When all the TV/Internet pundits went on and on about what a huge, powerful man Mazi Smith is, when I saw our #26 draft pick sit next to MM at the press conference table, I was suddenly not so impressed with his size. I wonder why? Maybe something is wrong with my computer monitor!
I was actually more impressed with the way he spoke and the humbleness he exudes. Seems to be a very intelligent kid that was well-coached!
I watched the OSU and TCU games, and this is a solid assessment. If he wasn't being doubled or tripled, he was being chip blocked. The times he was left 1v1, he created chaos. The biggest knock I found was when he was stood up, he lost focus. Needs to be better at using his leverage more consistently. I didn't see him take many plays off, but he did seem to lose situational awareness at times. I'm hoping that playing less than 90% of the snaps will help keep him fresh, and keep his head in the game.looks like Mazi is doubled or at least handed off, A LOT.. not one OL is stopping him alone.thats good.
Hmm kind of like last years pick. Hear Tyler smith speak and you’re like damn . Last years draft was rated as a C , how’s that looking so far? When all the TV/Internet pundits went on and on about what a huge, powerful man Mazi Smith is, when I saw our #26 draft pick sit next to MM at the press conference table, I was suddenly not so impressed with his size. Is he talking about Dak?I was worried until I read his poetry:
“Roses are red
Violets are blue
kill the quarterback.”
Looking forward to the season.
I love people who say they love a pick but want it 2 rounds later. Because they know another team wasn’t going to pick them sooner. So you didn't like it. Just like I said you act malcontent.
Yeah that true. I was impressed with his draft interview as well.Hmm kind of like last years pick. Hear Tyler smith speak and you’re like damn . Last years draft was rated as a C , how’s that looking so far?
I saw that pic. First time I'd ever seen Andy Reid look small in comparison. MM just might be the biggest HC in the league!Good thing you didn't see him next to Andy Reid.
Not exactly the football lineman mindsetRead he has a degree in creative writing and aspires to be a screenwriter or poet.
I've never stood next to McCarthy, but Keondre Coburn is as wide as a brick house. When all the TV/Internet pundits went on and on about what a huge, powerful man Mazi Smith is, when I saw our #26 draft pick sit next to MM at the press conference table, I was suddenly not so impressed with his size. Awe what a little fella. Lmao
Okay
People like this are so quick to criticize. Dude look in the mirror.I care immensely because I don't want the head coach having a heart attack right in the middle of calling a play. Actually, I don't really care. I'm sure if McFatty was to keel over during a game, the immortal Jerry Jones could handle play-calling duties, no problem.
Other scouts? So who do you scout for?I liked Schoon just 1-2 rounds later and OG Terrence was sitting there for us. I like O but curious where and how he will play since he seems like a Jayron player. Like Fehoko fine. Vaughn was probably my favorite pick but curious why we take the CB and pass over Trice, Ricks, and a few others myself and other scouts thought were better. And before anyone says…well our scouts know better….they also got us Joseph and Wright over vastly better players available
He is actually an in shape +320 athlete versus some that you are use to seeing at that weight.
