Even if Glenn plays (which should be very limited)...this is perfect opportunity to see what Dallas has without TO. I noticed the last time Stanback lineup up at Receiver...it looked weird...his stance didn't look right. Time to see if there has been some improvement. Here are players we should get a better look at:

Free (LT)
Stanback (WR)
more of Proctor at Center (very impressed last week)
McQ at Guard
Rogers at LB
Brown at Safety
Curtis at TE

Particularly against starters that will unquestionably be playing at a high level.

I want to see Stanback lined up at WR, QB, RB, KR, and PR. Let's see some of this verastility we've been promised.

How pissed is Brad Johnson gonna be though, he finally gets to play some and he's going to be throwing to guys that no one knows about instead of throwing to T.O. and Witten. Poor guy.

Stanback might play but I hope Dallas plays the game straight up. It would be their last for two weeks and they play better when they do not have a very long downtime.

It's funny. We will most likely rest our starters and Carpenter probably still will only play special teams...

I believe Dallas will play starters on defense... You know Ware will want a piece of Collins, to gain more momentum for DPOY!

Yeah, they played like crap against the Eagles after the bye...

I want us to play this game like we're the ones needing a win to make the POs. If the 'Skins win, there is a fair chance we'll play them again in the POs and I want them to know that we beat them twice. They will not be saying "we beat the Cowboys backups", they will be saying "we beat the Cowboys". Guys that are injured should be rested, and substituting some of the bkups during the game is fine, but we need to win this game. We backed into the Division title, the 1st round bye, and now HFA. I'd like to see this team do something for itself...

Explain to me how 13-2 is "backing into" anything?

No we don't. I dont care how you slice it. If Romo hits his thumb on a players helmet in the 3rd quarter...Dallas is done. Treat the game like last preseason game.

Exactly. We want everyone completely rested and healthy. It'd be different if all these injuries hadn't popped up over the last few weeks, but they have. We got a break in that Green Bay spit the bit this week. Lets use that break to our advantage.

I could see us playing Romo for maybe a quarter. After that, his *** better be on the bench.

If GB would have won today, we'd need to win at Washington to clinch HFA. Even Wade Phillips said it in his PC yesterday.

When Seattle lost last week we clinched a 1st round bye, before we even lost to the Eagles.

I can'r temember who beat the Giants a couple of weeks ago, but it gave us the Division.

I'm delighted w/ the accomplishments of this team, but I want us to do more. I want to see this team be the best and I think they have to talent to almost do this. He11, we may even beat the Pats if we catch them on the right day. But this team has not been playing very well lately and it does remind me of our "December collapses". Do you want us to pull a SD and exit the POs after our first game this year? I sure don't. So all of this stuff about let's take a rest is a recipe for disaster IMHO. We have to keep doing the exact same things that got us to 13-2 if we want to keep going to AZ. Joe Avezzano (sp??) said the same thing on the Dale Hansen Sports Final tonight..

I agree a little bit Cal, but even so, I think we've basically coasted since that Green Bay game. Even TO said that the week before that Eagles game in practice, we weren't sharp at all. I really think guys sort of let up off the gas a little.

We came out much better against the Panthers and put 17 on 'em in the first half. Then TO is out in the second half and we can't do much. I put our poor second half performance in that game on TOs injury.

We're going to be ready to rock when the first playoff game rolls around. I guarantee you that. We're going to look like the team we were all the way up to the Green Bay game. We'll be ready. :)

I also want to see what Ball has to offer and see Hatcher and Tony Curtis in an extended role.

I wouldn't mind if Flozell sits the majority of the game. I don't want to take a chance of him getting hurt.
