You don't back into anything when you win a franchise tying 13 wins on the season. Especially the division title. Dallas beat NY twice, Washington and split with Philly. That is not even close to backing into the NFC East title. Winning that many games and beating who they beat is what put pressure on the other teams to keep up. Every team out there is not going to win 13 times during the season. They didn't back into anything.

If GB would have won today, we'd need to win at Washington to clinch HFA. Even Wade Phillips said it in his PC yesterday.

When Seattle lost last week we clinched a 1st round bye, before we even lost to the Eagles.

I can'r temember who beat the Giants a couple of weeks ago, but it gave us the Division.

And if Dallas didn't win 13 games they wouldn't have HFA...

and if I had bought the winning lottery ticket Saturday night, I wouldn't work anymore!

I don't why you feel the need to diminish the fact that the Cowboys have home field advantage simply because they didn't do it the way YOU wanted, but sheesh...

lighten up already!

Agreed. We beat Detroit the weekend that we EARNED the division. Although we lost to Philly we had already wrapped up the bye before kickoff. Also, we WON our game this weekend. GB could not keep up.

I don't want Newman to play, nor Henry, considering their ankles. I want to see a lot of Ball and Brown.

The HFA couldn't have come at a better time. We need to the lay-off to give us that excitement for post-season. We should come out totally energized.

I'd like to see more of the back-ups. It'd be nice to know how our back-ups will fare if (god forbid) a key player gets injured. And I'm curious about this Stanback guy. I honestly don't know a whole bunch about him, so I want to see him in action.

Still doesn't explain your "backing into winning the division title" comment. We were leading the division and only way not to win the division title is for us to lose seveal games. As long as the team continue to win, it doesn't matter what other teams does.

You simply don't back into anything when you win 13 games. It's crazy that even some of the Cowboys fans aren't giving the the Cowboys credit for winning 13 games and having doubts about this team, unfriggin real.

I couldnt agree more. Every team needs help to win their division, its called their division opponents losing games. The giants helped us win the division ( as did philly and wash) by losing games while we were winning. The teams arent helping us its the way the cookie crumbles we have more wins therefore we clinch more things.

I dont see how some people are so pesimistic when we have tied the frachise record for wins in a season and could break it next week. Im going out on a limb and saying that he probably hates roy and carpenter too.
