With the release of Sensy, is there a way we can get Glover Quin from the Texans? He wasn't tagged, and looked really good last year.

Not sure how much FA money we're going to have.

But we won't be able to do anything meaningful until we restructure Romo's contract, imo.

You're right, he is a really good player. He makes a lot of plays.

What's the story on Houston keeping him? Is there some indication they won't pay him?

Love Quin, he was a pet cat for me when he came out. He played at UNM so I saw him play a lot. Love this player.

He is a good player, but will probably be too expensive for us.

How old is he? I would rather draft a guy. We haven't spent a high pick on a safety since RW. It's time we stop playing patchwork with the safety spot and just shore it up already. You get a young guy and the backend of the defense is set for years to come along with 2 of the 3 LB's that is a pretty darn good start IMO for this 4-3 defense.

Quin's only 28, and aside from his on-field plusses, e.g. athleticism, range, coverage skills, tackling ability, etc. he's great in the locker room. They reallllly love him in HOU.

28? I mean I just don't see the upside in paying him big money at 28 years old. Like I said I would rather draft a guy and let him play with Mo,Carr and Church and have a solid backend for years to come instead of worrying about replacing him when he hits 30 or so and finding the team back in the same position as its in now.

What's your cut off? If 28 is too high and most guys come into the league at like 22-23 and play a contract that holds them to 28 where do you get your free agents?

Or, where do you get the one's that you actually want and don't have to settle for?

Rather roll the dice with Kenny Phillips. He'll come significantly cheaper, is younger, and a better talent when healthy.

Kenny Phillips, healthy.

A sentence that can't be read very often...:)

Goldston wants 8mil a year.
I wonder what Quin wants?

Even better. He turned 27 in January this year.

I would go get Phillips and draft a guy in the 4th-5th.

However, I'm certain Monte knows who he wants and that's what matters most. He definitely knew it was not Sensy.
