look at the seahawks (I know to great safeties) But why don't we drafted or make a good safety a higher priority? Seahawks safeties make plays. Our safeties always seem to be way out of the play in no mans land.

Is it the scheme?

Seahawks have possibly the 2 best safeties in the NFL
We have possibly the 2 worst (slight exaggeration to make a point :))

It ain't the scheme

It's crazy we haven't had a solid one since Woodson. Roy flashed but faded quick. I loved Roy when he when he first came.

Earl Thomas was a true blue chip FS right here in TX. The guy has the instincts and ability to play the position. We haven't had one for about 15 years.

But the Cowboys still had their way with them in their game earlier so shows that you still need pressure from the DL position which is something we sorely needed on a consistent basis.

I agree. I've been waiting patiently for years now for a great safety for the Cowboys.

I personally think Wilcox is becoming a good safety.

maybe but wilcox had a terrible game. He really lack instincts and knowledge back there. Yeah i know he barely played the position but man. The terrible angles he take at tackling and the you have to know your the only guy over there so what every you do you do not let the guy get that side of you force him back inside. He got left gasping for air. And multiple times this season he takes bad angles to the play.

I like his aggressiveness and attitude but man. We need him to get it and get it quick. You have to attack. If he had attacked adams he might of atleast tripped him up instead he stood there flat footed.

Maybe we need a true FS with instincts and athleticism idk.

I thought so to, but he played a horrible game yesterday. That angle he took on the long Td by the rookie was awful! That should have been a 25 yd gain max. Awful.

We need 1 impact ball hawk safety this offseason.

We really never replaced Darren Woodson IMO.

There just aren't a lot of blue chip safeties coming out anymore. The last one was Mark Barron and he is already on his second team.

Idk if John Cyprien was labeled as a blue chipper coming out in 2013 but he's a better SS than Barron IMO

I'd love to get Holloman or Holloway whichever it is from Louisville. He had 10+ ints this year.

Not too concerned about our secondary, including our Safeties. We need DLs.

Every couple of years or so there is at least an Ed Reed or two around, but those are usually taken in first or high second round; and then you're stuck with Ed Asners. But does not rationalize why we haven't taken one for this long. Just painfully obvious it ain't funny.

If Cowboys are serious about Adrian Peterson, then trade Demarco Murray (after franchising) and a future pick for AD and Harrison Smith. Smith is an underrated centerfielder - ballhwak and headhunter since his ND days.
