I can see him in Buffalo, Houston, NYJ. If I were Jacksonville I would SERIOUSLY consider it - my offense would go from Putrid to HOLY CRAP overnight, and Bortles would learn for a year, so I'd have my QB of the future as well.

Everything I thought I knew about the league has changed. Going to be a lot of thought into this over the coming period.

My gut is that teams are starting to understand some implications about the newest CBA as it relates to the Cap, guarantees, etc.

I will admit that at least the Saints are essentially saying they mismanaged their cap and are trying to right the ship at the expense of a competitive team.

I had heard rumblings that they might do this.

They spent like sailors--like many hear want us to do--and destroyed their future.
They're having to hit the reset button.

Not sure they'll actually part with Brees but it shows what they think their chances are in the very near term.

In my mind, hey'd be smart to get rid of Brees ifthey can get something decent in return. They're probably not gong to be competitive with hi, plus they would dump his contract and get a pick or two to boot. They are starting over.
