The Saints have had a pretty good off season. It just got better with the addition of Jarvis Landry. That is going to to be as hard to handle WR trio as any team in the league. Thomas, Landry, and Olave. I really wanted the Cowboys FO to go after Landry. He got a one year 6 million dollar deal. If we couldn’t do that, than WTH are they thinking?

The Cowboys aren't paying anyone. They build through the draft, plain and simple.

They have learned the hard way that WR is a worthless commodity in Dallas when # 4 is your QB!:(
Correct Dez and Coop????

I like Landry and wanted him here before the draft. That being said, we could really use a burner.

Landry would not be a good fit here. They have a good set of WR's now. Washington fits in better, for what his role will be. I still think Landry thinks he can be a #1 WR. That is not the attitude this team or any teams needs.
Maybe he knows he is not a #1 anymore, and will be ok for them. See how it plays out.

Landry is a very solid possession WR and would help this offense but I don't think he fits the mold of a yes sir guy. 6 mil a year for him is a steal.

This....and it bothers many of us

The fo has too much rigidity in their strategy

Rigidity is an understatement. There is a complete disconnect between what happened during the season, and what they do in the off season. I had a meltdown on the old forums after the 2016 season when they did the exact same thing they are doing now. Now I'm used to it.

Isn’t that Cedric Wilson territory your talking about . Of course Wilson is multiple yrs but it’s around 6 mill annually. After Coopers exit to Cleveland would rather have kept Wilson be done with it. Washington & Tolbert really have to come through because behind them I’m not sure Dallas has anyone else to step in .

We have plenty possession WRs. Then again, the experts were calling Coop a possession WR, so on second thought......

Then go cheer for the Saints!
Sour puss!

fwiw, I do think people are overlooking New Orleans this year.
Looking at the whole roster, they look like a playoff team to me.

They were 5-2 before Winston went down last year and they were missing so many key pieces. Both trenches look strong. Solid team.

Btw, I'm fine with us not getting Landry.

It’s nice to have receivers but Drew Brees is wearing a suit and tie now trying his best and Professor Payton is not in the classroom either . Saints are probably roadkill again

We don't sign big name players
Or give out big contracts to other teams free agents.
That's on our front office.
Makes little sense that we disregard this option to gain talent.
This is just one of our front offices glaring weaknesses

Landry's production has been declining the past two seasons. We traded away a much better receiver.
