So much for all the hype the media built up as to who could boo the Saints. I guess NY fans have a short memory on how their teams were greeted after 9/11.

The saints took the field and I think they expected the stadium to explode.
Not even close.

They are playing the giants at the meadow lands yet part of the field is painted with the saints logos.

Nice to see some signs in the stands saying the Big Apple welcomes the saints.

ON another note I seen them asking Haslett about those things and he said something that made a bunch of sense...he said the money used to paint the field and play the game there could have been better spent on hurricane relief and that they would have been just as happy to play at Baton Rouge or San Antonio.

It's friggin New York!! You can't even cross the street without getting run over or mugged and you want them to feel sorry for New Orleans??

I liked that jazzy version of the National Anthem.

I really like hearing Harry sing....like his crooner style and voice.

Did the Jets or Giants use another teams stadium as their homefield?
This is nothing like 9-11. Mother Nature and terriorists, not even close.

Not only is it bizarre - it's wrong. There is no good reason why this game couldn't have been held elsewhere.

Frankly, I'm a little surprised more people haven't brought this up.

Wht the hell should the Giants get an extra home game - it's as close to one as you can get.

I hope the Saints kick their butts in. I need to Deuce to get 13 yards in my fantasy league.

Looks good.

I dunno. The NFL and the media live in some fantasy world. Explain to me how the Saints are any differnet than any other NFL team really. Almsot every team has players from the area's hit by this horrible disaster. New Orleans lost their stadium. I'm supposed to feel sorry for PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES because they don't have a home stadium. I feel sorry for any Saints players who lost family, friends, or a home in the area. The Saints stay in 5 star hotels, they have nothing to worry about. Just because they represent the area doesn't mean jack to me. If they were playing Dallas, I may give them an ovation, but you tihnk I'm gonna root for them. Idl be giving them chants and taunts all game

Why do the NYG get a 9th home game? They could easily play the game in San Antonio, Baton Rouge, South Dakota, anywhere, but not in NY. That's total bull****.

I agree Sarge. With another site located near N.O., at least the Giants would've had to travel. Put the game in S.A., Texas or somewhere just to make the Giants travel.

Yep - you can hear very clearly from the fans on the first td - this is really a home game for NY - an extra home game.

Did the Saints/NY game even sell out? I dont recall it selling out. As a matter of fact I think they lifted the blackout on this game for the area. Correct?

Great! Didnt they say that the reason it was in NY is because it would sell out and that played anywhere else the game would have a hard go of selling seats?

BS Tagz. I swear they need to boot his butt to the moon. Get rid of the guy already will ya?

Of course it was going to be a ninth home game for the Giants. I complained right away as it is unfair. Imagine if they gave us a ninth home game?

I take offense to that, first off new york became the safest city in america under rudy, so you have no idea what your talking about. Second, New york is a great city and there are a lot of great people there, you cant expect an entire city to become saint fans, the people were clapping and paying their respect, they werent giong to go nuts for the other team.

Good post. Basically what I was thinking with my comment earlier in the thread.

With all due respect - NYC is hardly the safest city in America.

This is rediculous and I agree with the other post.

No way should this game be played in NY - IT IS NOT RIGHT - They automatically have the homefield advantage.

It's like the Deadskins having no stadium to play in, so they host the Cowboys in Fort Worth, and they are the home team - just rediculous and stupid.
