Ayodele > Fujita

No worries

Still though a bit of LB depth would of been nice. Whatever people think of Fujita as a starter he would of been a quality back up. I liked him a lot.

I think we still are on the market for another linebacker now the Fujita has left us. Depth at that position is a must

I like the signing for the Saints. I wouldn't have minded having him back as a role player.

Damn.
I like him.
He's a good quality player.
Burnett better check his ego at the door and step the @#$% up, finally.

I'm glad to see him go.. I was afraid he would be the next mediocre guy that just never got off the team and stuck around wasting snaps and the opportunity for someone else who has more potential. He wasn't even as solid as Singleton, where you felt you were losing a good role player.

I wish we could have kept him. Kid had good size and still some good upside, IMO. I really hope we can still land some solid backups in the event that we have more injuries to the LB crew again. Well at least this opens up another roster spot for additional 2nd tier signing during the second round of mass player cuts later this year.

Good, that means we get to keep our 7th round pick.

What 7th? I'm pretty sure the deal was for this years 6th and next years 5th was conditional on playing time, which he didn't meet. All we lose is this years 6th. Don't think a 7th is in the equation at all.

Cowboys | Team only has to surrender one draft pick for Fujita from 2005 trade
Mon, 13 Mar 2006 16:05:51 -0800

Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, reports to acquire LB Scott Fujita last year from the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dallas Cowboys gave up a sixth-round pick in 2006 and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2007, but he did not meet certain playing-time requirements last season to make the Cowboys give up that pick too. As noted earlier, Fujita has now signed with the New Orleans Saints.
