How does this dude still get contracts
What?
he had a contract with Pittsburgh and then came to Dallas. Where he showed decent play in Pittsburgh.
the his injury derailed him here.

So this is only his 3rd contract.

so glad fans on here aren’t the Dallas GM.

I wish him well, the injury screwed up his chance with dallas.
It’s certainly didn’t help that’s for sure, but he was given an opportunity after he returned, and did nothing which is why we brought in TY Hilton. Once Hilton made a few plays, Washington was released.

Washington had one decent season in 2019 with Pittsburgh then his numbers began to decline each season. It was very difficult to get excited about him looking at his numbers in Pittsburgh his final two seasons. Those were jag numbers.

Imagine that as his numbers declined as the QB declined.

That wasn’t the reason. He only started 9 games his final two seasons in Pittsburgh, due to injury, and lack of opportunity. He’s an average receiver.

Not going to lie and I'll always admit my bad opinions....I liked what I saw on tape of him when he came here and thought his size and speed would offer something different in the right system. He never got in the system or worked. Oh well

I guess he can help them, given his postseason experience, leadership, etc, but you have to wonder if he can still cover effectively or take the routine NFL pounding at age 58.

Hasn’t played since like 95. I wouldn’t count on much if I’m them.

Yes average, but he is not horrible like many couch GMs on here say.

He certainly didn’t do anything for us and he was our top free agent signing. The Cowboys gave him an opportunity when he came back from injury and couldn’t make a play on the only target he got. It’s obvious the Cowboys didn’t like what they saw in his first game back and ended up having to bring in TY Hilton who hadn’t played football in a year. As soon as he got an opportunity he made a deep catch down the field and that was the end for James Washington with the Cowboys.
