I'm not sure why any team would want him other than extreme desperation, but I'm happy for the guy. Good for him. (Bad for the Saints, but good for him)

Courageous player and person to fight back after a terrible college injury and become an NFL starter for a few seasons. Got to admire that.

Mistake on the Cowboys part however to draft him in the second round knowing he would not play for a season. Very likely could have had him with a later pick.

His career is likely all but over. Good guy personally I hear. I wish him the best.

Short story: my son is playing football for the first time. He is 7. And its tackle football.

His coaches are lining him up at inside linebacker. So I was on YouTube with my son looking for some simple videos on playing linebacker and some drills for me and him to do in our yard.

One of the videos that came up was Jaylon Smith breaking down film and discussing assignments.

I skipped over that video so damn fast. Don’t want my son seeing that trash.
Your son could learn a lot more from Jaylon than you turning it off.

I think he can show the other guys how to jump on the offensive player back 10 yards down the field and jump up like he just got stung by a bee. great player or actor, you make the call.

I hated this guy so much as a Cowboy. Seemed more focused on business and branding off the field than he was being a football player. And genuinely a tone deaf human. Also seemed to have a low football IQ that was exposed when he lost his freak physical abilities.

Made two great plays that I'll always remember though: stopping Alvin Kamara short of the goal line on TNF and then the fumble return for a touchdown after RG stripped Jameis Winston.

Good for him, hope he makes the team.

Jaylon doesn’t strike me as a bad person.
He has a lot of haters on here.

Made worse by the fact that he’s a tackling machine.

I thought his knee would be gone by now.

Giants and Saints think it still has some miles left though.

You could argue he’s an accomplished business based on the decisions he makes on the field.
