For now, multiple sources have indicated that the teams expect the 2024 cap to be in the neighborhood of $242 million and $243 million. Another source, in response to that number, had this reaction: “More.”

The final number will likely emerge next week, after final negotiations at the Scouting Combine. Whatever the figure, keep that amount in mind when reacting to the contracts players will receive (and that they deserve). Also remember that, generally speaking, the $243 million or so per team that will go to the players is matched by $245 million or so per team that goes to the owners.

UPDATE 1:47 p.m. ET: Another source, with a proven record of accuracy in these matters, says it will be closer to $250 million than to $243 million.

Anyone want to tell us how much of an increase that is to the current cap? Seems like important info ?
Won’t matter much.

We are currently $-14,298,985 that is with the projected cap of $242,500,000. So you may gain around $500,00 and $-13 million

2023 cap was 224.8M

Honestly I dont think it's very important info just because new contracts are going to be given out based on percentages. The more the cap goes up the more new salaries for player all across the board go. It could go up to $343M but that just means a new Dak extension for example would be $85M instead of $60M.

Excellent. So we can boast about how much more of the cap we saved after other teams spend. Lol.

There are a few teams sitting pretty like Bengals, Detroit, Texans.

I figure we will redo some contracts and have about 20 to 25M on the cap

Resign Dak, CDee. Restructure Martin, and Steele. Cut Gallup, LVE, and Rush. Will create a lot in room without counting the higher cap.
