How does rolling over money from last year? Aren't we 15 million under the cap for '21? Doesn't that rollover? Or, is that already figured in for the cap for '22?

If so, it seems like we aren't in horrible shape. Rollover the 15 million, restructure Dak, restructure Martin, cut Lewis. Boom - 18 million in cap space.

Am I wrong? I probably am, but if so, I am not sure why.

Already figured into the number that has us around 21-23 million over the cap now.

I wouldn't try to figure it out.

Not worth the effort.

Right now, according to Spotrac, it's figured in at 4 million, not 15 million. That's our roll over, 4 million.

Dak alone is 15 million. If they cut Cooper and Tank, that's another 24 million.

My number came from Over The Cap, and they appear to be very different from Spotrac.

Perhaps I should take the suggestion to not worry about it, since no one really seems to know, and what I think simply does not matter, in any way, shape, or form.

It’s a fair question but a moot one. I’ve seen many of our resident experts say their is no consequences to the salary cap in regards to mammoth salaries…….

That site is so annoying on the eyes. But here's the thing. Both sites have roughly the same contract liability, around 204 million. Both sites have us around 21 million over the cap for 2022. Spotrac is including the 4 million roll over.

I don't know why Over the cap is showing 15 million in space, and still get to the same number as Spotrac.

Don't worry, Jerry will extend Zeke, Dak, Cooper and DLaw's 2022 salaries as signing bonuses and keep their bloated salaries on the books for a stretch more.

LOL, I don't even think they are that stupid. But I wouldn't put any money on it either way.

How is a billionaire so bad with money? Jerry needs to be taken to the woodshed for his cap management. And I'll be the first in line. We could just Airplane his arse. Who wants the pipe wrench?

Believe it was something like 3 1/2 million left after they released Jaylen (guaranteed contract). He’s also going to count 6.8 million in next years cap!

……is that procedure similar to the “Double Dutch Rudder”, technique?

May as well with Zeke and Dak. We're already stuck with Zeke's salary for next year, and Dak isn't going anywhere. It's just accounting with both of them.

But we can avoid adding Cooper and DLaw's salary to their cumulative cap hit. Probably should.
