I'm as liberal as anyone, but he should get the death penalty. Profiting off other people becoming cocaine addicts and ruining their lives is worthy not just of being executed but also of extensive torture prior to being killed. It's only in extremis that sociopaths might regret what they've done. If they're not afraid of dying, then the death penalty isn't an effective deterrent so introduce torture into the equation. Do unto them as they would do to you, only to the extreme. They enjoy other people suffering so they should experience suffering themselves.

There is this country called China. You should check it out.

People choose to do drugs, nobody forces them. It`s supply and demand.

Kristen couldn't have been serious. If so, like I said, thank goodness she is here jousting with us and not holding a gavel. That sets my mind at ease.

Wow, man I'm pretty damn conservative but when it comes to drugs I just don't really see what the fuss is all about. You do your thing, have some fun and be responsible and there are no worries, just as with alcohol.

Good for Hurd, he should get out after 7-10 and he will still be a young man and hopefully he can dedicate himself to helping others out.

WOW. The general consensus from those on the right AND the left these days is to lessen the scope and aggressiveness of the costly and inefficient war on drugs, yet you're running full speed in the opposite direction.

I will tip my hat to you, it takes guts to be this far out of touch with reality.

Fair sentence.. Good for Hurd. With a 15 year sentence, he can probably get paroled in 8-10 if he serves his time well. That will place him in his late 30s with plenty of time to turn his life around.

Don't think so, I thought this was federal and therefore he'll serve at least 12-13 (85%) before eligible

I was just looking at a couple of youtube videos that Sam created where he's hanging out away from the field. It's interesting that the players featured are like a who's who of guys the Cowboys have let go. And in some cases the releases were surprising.

Feds don't do parole, but inmates are eligible for 54 days of "good time" credit per year incarcerated. I guess when his good time credit equals the days left on his sentence, Sam will get to go home.
