I'm actually thinking the mass exodus won't be as big as most think. Hatch could be brought back, and Spencer at the right price could be also cause its not like he's going to get some big deal at this point.

We do need to take some chances on the DL at this point though, cause we probably won't be able to fill all the holes in one offseason there. If there is one place where we shouldn't mind some bad attitudes, its on the DL. Rather have a bit of edginess in a DL and the safety position to be honest.
 
Bring this guy in and see what he's about. if he's a problem maker, give him the boot.
 
You know it wouldn't hurt to see what Marinelli can get out of him, but he reacts so slow coming off the line of scrimmage that I don't know if he could fix him, b/c that is an instinct type of thing.

I agree his rep proceeds him, worse than the Dlineman we just signed, lets see how that plays out until we dilute the recipe any further.

I agree, also let Sam sit on the open market for a week or two to realize he is at a dead end. The NFL is a privilege not a right. Trust it will come on for the guy if not cut him.

Coakley was not considered a joke or a bad player.

The joke on the forum was back in the day, when he was actually one of the few bright spots and tradeable names, every trade scenario was to send Dexter Coakely to another team for a player or draft pick.

It got to be that this happened so often that it became a joke that still holds today that if you are going to talk about a trade or getting a player someone will joke about adding dexter into the mix.

It is NOT a insult to Dexter. Just some joke that got started on the board.

If anything it is a testament to how good of a player he was on such a crappy team that he was the only one that anyone viewed as being tempting for other teams to trade for.
 
I would rather look at martez Wilson who was cut by the saints. I don't think he had the lateral movement to play OLB in a 3-4.

Yeah his whole senior year was a bust at Arizona. Last year he led the entire Bengals team with tackles. I hope he continues to play well.
 
Bad character is contagious. Bad character loses games. We just added one potentially bad character DL. Why give him a buddy to reinforce his lousy world view?
 
There is obviously more to the story on his release and I'm sure Wade has given Garrett the scoop in private. It was probably some significant misconduct and way out of bounds for the RKG he looks for, and too much to make an exception.
 
both nevis and mo played with him right? I'm sure both of them have been hit up for info on him and if they say he can be fixed by the coach I say give it a shot. We can't be too picky at this point, we need people that can play. If he has a bad attitude and doesn't produce get rid of him in a few weeks, if he has a bad attitude and produces, get rid of him after the season, But if he comes in, buys in, and works hard he may be awesome for us.
