Actually, we know it was a catch. It's nice to hear the CB in coverage say it, too. That's pretty stand-up of him.

Is he a free agent?

I have been trying to let it go. I have made improvements these last few days.

But this play aint going anywhere.... Ill be 80, if im lucky enough to make it that far, and Ill be complaining to someone , somewhere, about this play...

I will be watching Pittsburgh Genes every call too..... Little hometown sneak, plays favorites, whenever he sees his chance....

Can you imagine kids playing football, in their school yards/back yards, after catching the ball and getting 3 feet down saying no catch because you didn't make a football move?
Only in the NFL.

That rule and it's long winded detail of the process should have never been approved.

Sam Shields on Dez Bryant: "It was a catch. I was in great coverage...he made a helluva catch" http://t.co/kfoufwxGqe http://t.co/28nP4EOYLy

I made an earlier thread saying basically this . It was deleted but the thread was "he made the play he beat his man ".

Bottom line he beasted. Everything about what he did was awesome footballing

It was a great pass by Romo, great defense by Shields, and even a greater catch by Dez.
IMO, this is indisputable.

Dallas was robbed...on that play.
We'll never know if it cost us the game or not, but that was 100% for sure a catch.
They need to close the loophole on that rule to leave no room for replay officials to take it away.

I haven't seen anyplace where a Packer talked about the game and disputed it wasn't a catch.

The worst I've seen is along the lines "We can only control we can control..."

I think it's easier for the Packers to admit it because it (A) It costs them nothing to do so and (B) Even if it was a catch, the game was likely a 50/50 proposition at that point going forward.

Unlike the Pats, specifically Belicheck and Brady at this point , Shields comes off as a man/athlete with " integrity"..

Definitely Sherman and maybe Rodgers said it was not a catch, but I hadn't heard any of the defensive plays deny the truth.

Aaron Rogers said in his post game comments that he knew if wasn't a catch "because everyone knows the Calvin Johnson rule"

Heard it myself from the drama queen
