Sam Williams has some Charles Haley nasty to him.. That dude is finna be a top 10 DE in the league in a minute. I have not rewatched the game to evaluate Clark yet but the fact that I didn't see Dalvin Cook setting sail on a any long runs tells me he held his own. Cook had a decent outing but a lot of it was garbage time.. I mean we were up 34 points by the middle of the 3rd quarter and they were still running.. so his numbers have to be taken with a grain of salt.

I can't say enough about how excited I am about Williams.. He just LOOKS like a badass defensive end. He seems like he's about to become everything we HOPED Randy Gregory would.. minus the affinity for bong hits.

Williams looking better and better each game. They are bringing him along, and using him correctly so far.
Have not notice much on Clark, except when they call his name. Hoping Cox can get into that mix as well.

I think we have to be patient with Cox.. remember he's coming off a torn ACL too. We've seen how it has affected Gallup so it stands to reason that it would affect a guy whose position requires multiple changes of direction while fighting off 300 pound men might be even more so.

Sam might be our strongest DE. The dude is throwing OT’s around like nothing. He needs more snaps now Quinn!

I just like the absolute anger with which he tackles people. He aint gently guidin nobody to the ground. Running backs, QBs, coaches, you name it.. everybody gets slammed to the ground with bad intentions.

Williams is definitely a beast. One of our rare 2nd rounders that showed immediate impact. idk about Clark yet. Kept seeing people give him a bunch of praise before he even got on the field and I haven't really noticed him stand out yet, but time will tell. I'm a lot more patient with rookies than other folks around here lol

Williams has been electric as a situational player so far this year. Looks promising.

I posted in another thread, but I just want to see a little more against the run of him getting off OTs and making plays instead of just chasing runs down from the backside. Run play was his knock on his scouting report coming out so hoping he continues to develop and prove that wrong.

Williams, so far, is living up to his jersey number. I'm sure Randy White is proud.

I tell ya something else.. we will probably only have him for one year.. but Dante Fowler has been a really good add. Imagine having a former top 5 pick and and former double digit sack man as your 4th or 5th best pass rusher. I kind of chuckle every time I see him in with the "2nd" or "3rd" unit. Those poor offensive tackles have zero chance. And when we stunt inside.. Goodness gracious.. That one where he used Dalvin Cook as a speed bump on the way to Cousins was a stark reminder why people need to seriously appreciate Zeke more. At least I think that was him.. might have been Williams.. but whoever it was just abused poor Cook.. and then Cousins.. LOL!

I'm with you on these two, but don't think the run issues have been fixed just yet. Cook went 8 carries for 47 yards in the Vikings first three drives. The Vikings got some chunk gains on the outside runs but for some odd reason they chose to abandon the run game at the end of those drives.

I know the stats aren't there yet, but Clarks speed along is just special at the LB position and really pops out when you go back and watch the film. Plays he was in the game it seems like LVE is taking on a different role too, and not as conservative as he usually is. Not sure if that is related to Clark or just a product of this team playing more aggressively against the run after last weeks embarassment, but He needs reps, but that guy should be a difference maker.

Williams I was critical of in the run game early on this season, but he just keeps getting better and better, and certainly looked like a complete player yesterday. The guy is already one of the better pass rushers in the league.

Romo really likes Clark too and think he has a chance to be a really quality mike and is respected in the locker room, too, dating back to college. Romo said he was a big time draft steal and should have been a day 2 pick and not 5th round

Armstrong has 7 sacks this year but he's the biggest beneficiary of playing across from Parsons IMO. With a normal DL, Armstrong maybe has 3 sacks by this point.

Yeah Armstrong may struggle against the run but don't drop back to pass too many times around that guy. He's been an absolute menace this year. To be honest I can't explain why he's not better against the run. He's certainly big enough (I think he's bigger than Tank by 10-15 pounds) not to be driven out of there and quick enough to keep contain better. It's gotta be lack of technique and discipline.

I’m as hopeful as anyone else in his potential but folks need to slow their roll on Demone Clark. I have yet to really see him make a real impact the way Sam Williams has flashed. That may come but it hasn’t happened yet.

Run stoppers rarely flash the way pass rushers do ... Unless it's in the form of TFLs. Clark's specialty is stopping the run... and his job as an ILB is a little more complex than that of a rush end. So it will naturally take longer for him to show up consistently. I just like what I saw from him getting out and chasing down Hockenson a couple of times. Both times it looked like Hockenson had room to do damage and Clark went and got him with the quickness to minimize the damage.

I don’t know about his snap count, but I’ve seen practically zero from Clark yet.

LVE flashes more and that’s saying something.

I was worried Sam Williams was going to be another one trick pony (rushing the passer and that's it), but he has flashed in run defense at times and seems to always be around the ball. He has a very quick first step and seems to be physically more powerful than most of the guys coming off the edge.

Great pick with early returns so far. Dan Quinn spent a lot of time with him pre-draft.

I had short term memory loss and forgot Clark’s number. He came flying in on some play in the second quarter and I was like “Who the heck is that?! That Safety is massive!”

LOL I assumed it was a d back because he was so fast. Dudes gonna be soooooo special
