I had short term memory loss and forgot Clark’s number. He came flying in on some play in the second quarter and I was like “Who the heck is that?! That Safety is massive!”

LOL I assumed it was a d back because he was so fast. Dudes gonna be soooooo special

Dude hit 22 mph chasing down Fields a few weeks ago. I hope I don't need to explain to people how fast that is for a 250 pound man to be running.. IN FULL PADS!!! He's got a TON to learn but you can't teach what he already has.. blazing speed, great instincts and a lunch pail work ethic.

I agree. I'm impressed with both of the rooks. Sam is getting better each week and Clark bouncing back from injury the way he has is a sight to see. His speed definitely jumps out at you when he's on the field.

Sam Williams has some Charles Haley nasty to him.. That dude is finna be a top 10 DE in the league in a minute. I have not rewatched the game to evaluate Clark yet but the fact that I didn't see Dalvin Cook setting sail on a any long runs tells me he held his own. Cook had a decent outing but a lot of it was garbage time.. I mean we were up 34 points by the middle of the 3rd quarter and they were still running.. so his numbers have to be taken with a grain of salt.

I can't say enough about how excited I am about Williams.. He just LOOKS like a badass defensive end. He seems like he's about to become everything we HOPED Randy Gregory would.. minus the affinity for bong hits.
Agree.

SW is the strongest 4.4 forty player that I've ever seen. He is already the strongest DE on the roster.

Clark getting his feet under him. Gonna see a star born before our eyes. Gonna be fun watching this kid develop. It's awesome how they got Clark for almost nothing. I think he would’ve been maybe a 2nd rounder if not for med issues....the med staff on this team needs a raise
This kid gonna be special

Clark played the most snaps on defense of any LB or DLineman.

I said after reviewing the Packers game that they should give Clark more snaps.
Bears 51%
Packers 11%
Vikings 75%

Parsons played primarily off-ball LB vs the Packers.
- He played almost all snaps at DE vs the Vikings.

I agree.

These guys are only getting better, which is why I'm optimistic about the post-season.

The timing of this team's development has the potential to turn into something special.

I was also impressed with Gallup finally getting some better targets and reps on some of those completions.

I just wish he was a little better blocker.. Every time we tried the WR screen with him as the primary block the DB ran right by him and blew up the play. I could be wrong but I kinda feel like he was better at that before his injury. Which wouldn't take much because he's been terrible at it this year.

Yeah the biggest plus from Clark being at least serviceable at LB is that it frees Parsons up to hunt the QB. Or to just terrorize the opponents in the backfield from anywhere along the line. The fact that Clark is just as fast as Parsons almost seems unfair.. Put Clark, Parsons and Williams on the field and the same time and this is probably the fastest defense in the league and probably by a pretty good margin. The 90's defenses were always predicated on speed speed speed. They can't block you if they can't catch you. Having a deep rotation means they stay fresh (and fast) for four quarters. Color me happy about that.

Agreed. And Parsons makes them that much better.

Definitely a 2nd rounder if healthy with a chance at late 1st.

I had him rated as the best LB in the draft before they reported the news about his neck issue.

I kept reviewing the top 3 ranked LBs and Clark trying to figure out what I was missing.

My rankings:
Clark
Quay Walker
Devin Lloyd

Even if 100% healthy, I couldn't advocate for drafting Nakobe Dean in the 1st. Small and slow.

I think we have to be patient with Cox.. remember he's coming off a torn ACL too. We've seen how it has affected Gallup so it stands to reason that it would affect a guy whose position requires multiple changes of direction while fighting off 300 pound men might be even more so.

i think we may have finally seen Jabrail Cox active only because the injury to Anthony Barr (re-aggravated hamstring) .. and looking at Jabrail, it's amazing how puny-skinny the guy is.
i swore he had the look of a CB, rather than a LB.

What helps Gallup deal with his ACL injury/recovery is him getting on the playing field from game #1 .. and place in position where he can work his way back into playing form.
Cox on the other hand has frequently been on the gameday inactive list this entire year- so how can he return to form if he's undressed and sitting all year ?

Yeah Armstrong may struggle against the run but don't drop back to pass too many times around that guy. He's been an absolute menace this year. To be honest I can't explain why he's not better against the run. He's certainly big enough (I think he's bigger than Tank by 10-15 pounds) not to be driven out of there and quick enough to keep contain better. It's gotta be lack of technique and discipline.

Interesting. Because people were insisting during the off season that Dorance Armstrong was a JAG.

I'm still waiting for his play to fall off.

I don't understand why people are so impressed with Cox, especially given how undersized he is.

How has Dean been this year ? i've tried to watch Eagles games but i don't think i've noticed Dean this year ?

Williams has showed up more and more every game. And what about Armstrong?! Dudes a beast!
Williams not only looks the part (and boy does he), but he makes an impact on the field. I hope his reps keep going up but not too far since depth at DE is one of our biggest attributes. It keeps our pass rushers fresh and fresh players are less apt to get injured.

I just looked it up and ironically the Cowboys list Tank at 265 and Armstrong at 255. I would never have guess that Tank was the bigger of the two. I guess Armstrong being a couple inches taller he just looks a lot bigger. But I guess that's just the pads playing tricks on you.

And I can tell you why people are impressed with Cox.. He's a linebacker who can cover. I mean really cover.. like a strong safety.. actually better than most strong safeties. That is extremely rare..
