I wonder if Hankins will play against Chicago or if they’ll give him the two weeks of the upcoming bye to learn the playbook. I would guess he’ll see at least a few snaps.

Should play right away. Defensive playbooks, especially for a DT isnt hard to learn at all.

We just need dudes to stay in their lanes and hold the ground. Our D is just aggressive and they stunt so much teams use it against us when running the ball. I wouldn’t be opposed to a Hankins/Bo package where both are playing DT occasionally.

Hankins helps in the run game big impact doubt it but helps a lot rotating Bo, Watkins, Osa, and Hill

you watch as the season goes on . Williams will end up being a starter. Armstrong Lawrence. This is scary. I love it. It’s been along time since I’ve been really happy about our defense . Did you see what Williams did in the time he was on the field.

Yes, he had a great game as a situational pass rusher. Most scouting reports had him as a 3+ rounder due to his lack of run defense. This is probably why he isn't starting and playing as a situational pass rusher.

If he's starting this year our run defense probably gets worse which we can't afford.

We got Hankins to rotate with Bo. Gally, OSA, and Hill are all 3T. Than you have Bo, Hankins, and Watkins at the nose.

We just strengthened the rotation.

He has 1 whole tackle this season.

You didn't even know he existed before yesterday.

He wasn't acquired to make tackles -- all he has to do is diminish the run and he'll serve his purpose.

He's primarily merely a rotational addition who should easily be able to handle that responsibility well.

He will be in on most running downs, he is not a pass rusher he is in there for run defense to take away the middle, not going to put up monster numbers but will take away the middle of the OL forcing backs to try to bounce it to the outside.
