I like how Hankins is all of a sudden an All-Pro talent now they we traded for him.

He has 1 whole tackle this season.

You didn't even know he existed before yesterday.

He is definitely past his pro-bowl days, but he is not a guy who will make a lot of tackles. Our best hope is he clogs the middle and keeps the offensive linemen from getting to our LBs. Hankins is just 30 so he should have some gas left in the tank. What I hope we get from him is he takes on a double team and forces both blockers to hold their blocks which will give a LB or safety a free shot at filling the hole. If he can do that, the run defense will improve. I think it is all about motivation. I have yet to hear or see a quote from him on the trade but hopefully he is more motivated playing for a legitimate contender.

Idon't know if anyone is calling him an All Pro talent, but it's the nature of fans to be overzealous about things they see as postive.

In my mind Hankins is just part of the rotation. A rotational piece we didn't really have before, so it should have a positive impact, but he isn't going to be a dominant every down or almost every down player.

2016 Hankins was one of the main reasons the NY Giants were 11-5 and not 5-11. They won a ton of very close games because they stopped the run consistently and forced the other teams into long down and distances.

Hankins was also Zeke's worst nightmare as a rookie.

It used to be going to the Raiders revived discarded old pros careers. Hope this one works for the Boys.
The DTs we have are very young, perhaps still wet behind the ears. If someone is on the 53 got to pull
and wish for the best to him. It's not like he's a bum out of the league for a year or so. Might be helpful
to Bo and others, using the experience cliche. Seems like has some talent.

Like Peters, we don't know until he gets onto the field. Let's see!

I think most football fans know who Hankins is and remember him as a Giant. He’s not an all pro and surely not the player he was but with his size and strength he will get attention and that can only benefit Tank, Micah and Sam not to mention Osi and Armstrong. Solid pickup given what little we have for him. And definitely the type of player that will make the guys around him more effective.

I am clueless as to where Hankins talent is in 2022, years ago I coveted him for the boys but time has been marching. Not building a pedestal for him till I see how he mixes with Dan Quinn.

How could any Cowboys fan not know the guy existed he gave our run game fits when he was in NY?
