Sam Williams Production

Dante Fowler at 3 million dollars.

241 snaps, 5 sacks, 7 QB hits, 21 tackles, 7 TFL.

Best thing to happen was when Gregory spurned Dallas.
Excellent FA pickup and the best outside FA pickup for Dallas.

171 snaps. 3 sacks, 6 QB hits, 13 pressures, 7 TFL's
I'd like to see over 300 snaps for Sam by the end of the regular season.

Randy Gregory

155 snaps, 2 sacks, 7 QB hits, 9 tackles, 2 TFL.

Williams has adequately replaced Gregory at a rookie pay scale.

And (so far) without being suspended for most of his career.

Of course, I don't think it's quite fair to compare their numbers. We have the top pressure unit in the league, led by the disruptiveness of Parsons and Lawrence. Gregory likely would have benefitted from it at least as much as these players have.

I think the main beneficiary, though, has been Dorance Armstrong. He's gotten to clean up a lot of the pressure that Parsons and Lawrence create.

I thought Fowler would be a good signing because Quinn would get something out of him.
Initially wanted RG back but it def worked out better for us that he left. Armstrong has been a big surprise to me and would’ve replaced RG by himself but then we added Fowler and Sam Williams (who may be a budding star)…so we ended up in much better shape with better production and saved big money.
Might be a stretch but very possibly we finish with three or even four double digit sack players.

Uh, he needs to be suspended a time or 2 before being compared to Randy sir!
