When a player is suspended, fans tend to regard the punishment as not being able to play in games.

I'm pretty sure the player's focus is on the fact that they lose that portion of their salary.

If a player's contract calls for him to make 1.7 million a year then that is 100 thousand a game. A three game suspension would result in a loss of 300 thousand dollars....something like that.

That is an impactful loss, regardless of whether or not they could have played in those games anyway.

He was placed on IR before game 1. So he is out for the season. Not sure why Nick Harris said eligible to return week 11.

The suspension will be in 2025 whenever he is active.
Most likely he will start TC on PUP. Possibly the season, depending his rehab. If so, don't look for him to play until week 7 then the 3 games. So week 10 in 2025.
Or if fully recovered, he will miss the first 3 weeks.

I don't think they can spend a suspension while on IR.
However, I think a Giants player did about 6 years ago, and was active for the game against us. Was it their K?
