San Diego Could Trade LT In OffSeason...

The San Diego Union-Tribune suggests that LaDainian Tomlinson could be traded in the offseason.

Tomlinson has a monster contract that would have to be redone to facilitate a deal. He also turns 30 before next season and will be coming off his worst year as a pro, so his trade value is weak. While GM A.J. Smith could draft LT's heir apparent in April, expect to see him back in powder blue in 2009.

One year too late. They should have kept Michael Turner and let LT go. Well, that's a bit extreme, but they should have started talking to teams about trading LT last year. Problem is, they thought they were a Super Bowl team.
What a difference a year makes.

He's also a big cry-baby. His true colors came out once Norv became HC.

I also think he's not giving 100% and is quitting on his team.

Likely a couple years late if they wanted anything of value for him.
He is on the downside of his career and the carries are starting to take's it toll.

Watching Phillip Rivers and LaDainian Tomlinson attempting to gain some sort of chemistry the past two years has been hilarious.

The little dump to the flats to LT which should go for a good 7 yards every time is like quantum physics for those two. Either LT isn't where he's supposed to be, or he gives up on the play, or he isn't looking for the ball, or Rivers misses him by a mile. I don't know how much better Rivers' stats would be if he could actually complete those passes once in a while.

I doubt, very seriously, they'll trade him unless someone gives this something ridiculus for him.

Yeah, you see how he eats soup in those Chunky commericals? Can you open your mouth any friggin' wider?!?! It's kind of disgusting, kind of foul -- it looks like he's going to eat the whole spoon.

And TO gets so much flack for running bad routes, giving up on routes, giving up on plays, getting on Romo for not getting him the ball, etc, etc.

I'm still mystified how the media is always foaming at the mouth over him being this "classy" guy.

When is the rest of the world, or at least the Chargers going to get a clue and realize that A.J Smith is a blow hard. The guy easily has the biggest ego in the NFL. I mean name one guy who could keep his job after running Brees and L.T out of town and hire a sub par coach. For a team that had a legit shot at a Super Bowl. I really feel bad for some of those players that they have to deal with all the karma that the Spanos family has brought onto them. Now that I think about it A.J Smith and Dean Spanos were meant for each other.
