The little dump to the flats to LT which should go for a good 7 yards every time is like quantum physics for those two. Either LT isn't where he's supposed to be, or he gives up on the play, or he isn't looking for the ball, or Rivers misses him by a mile. I don't know how much better Rivers' stats would be if he could actually complete those passes once in a while.
In 3 seasons with Rivers as his QB he's caught 160 balls for 1354 yards. That's an 8.5 YPC. His average before Rivers got there was more like 7 YPC.
He's averaging few receptions per year (68 vs. will end up around 58 or so) - but that is driven mostly by his 100 catch season early career.
