You’re crazy than. Purdy has been a fluke in a perfect situation. Now he has been exposed.
I'm not convinced about Purdy either, but there are top scouts that have no QB this year being deserving of a 1st round grade.
There will be some taken, but this isn't last year's class.

Purdy's play has declined this year, but given that he lost like 5 Pro Bowlers out of 10 starters around him, it didn't decline as far as I thought. He's got some game.

At age 25 with 2 good seasons on his resume, Purdy is going to ask for an outrageous sum of money, and I bet the 49ers pay it. They've gone the vet route with Garrapolo, and they've gone for the high draft pick rookie with Lance. I think they just want to settle on a guy at this point.

Purdy probably isn't worth $60M a season guaranteed, but if Dak and Tua signed for that much, then why not him. If John Lynch doesn't offer that, the Raiders probably will.

And again... Purdy is a darn sight better than Shedeur. Will he be better than Cam Ward in 2 or 3 years, maybe so or maybe not. But I don't think Ward is a good fit for Shanahan's offense either. He's another off-schedule hero baller.

Why would San Fran move up to draft a qb when they have one already who has taken them to the SB twice and the NFCC game once. Yes you going to have to pay Purdy with a new contract but such is the NFL.
You'd be surprised at how unhappy the fanbase is with Purdy this season. They see him as a mid tier QB and no one wants to pay him more than $40 million a year.

I'm scratching my head. San Fran is not going to give up a ton of draft capitol to move to grab a QB they don't need. The niners have a "small "cap problem and need all the draft picks they can get.
i mean, that cap problem would evaporate if they grabbed a rookie qb. i don't see it happening, but i don't think it's all that farfetched.

same reason they did it w/ Jimmy G.
