The thrashing has begun.......still a long way to go, but I love the start......this San Jose team is very scary on the offensive end, and as usual, the opposing goalie is playing out of his flipping mind against the relentless Pens offense.......GO PENS

You got that backwards.Hockey is #1.
I'm from Texas, still live here.....Football is religion and my Spurs are awesome.....so yes, Hockey is 3rd......Maybe if I had a better understanding of some of the finer points of the game, I would be able to rank it higher. Then again, I know so much about baseball rules and so forth, but I still have it barely above soccer.

I'm from Texas. (until I was 32) I'm in the NYC area now, but my love for hockey was set in place before I ever left Texas and Texas is still were my hearts at. (though Texas education do not meet my standards.
)

I think it took the Sharks a bit to get used to the speed of the Pens compared to the Blues. Ultimately I think the depth of the Sharks will be the difference and I think they have the goal tending advantage. Full disclosure: I am a Pens hater going back to Mario's playing days.
I admit that even though the Pens have been written off this year more than once they have always found a way, so far.
I hope it goes seven because there is nothing better than a game seven in the NHL.

Pens up 2-0.....giving a big middle finger to the almost unanimous mediot army who picked the Sharks to devour them.
The series has a ways to go, and I don't want to get too high with this start, but I am very happy right now. I just hope we can steal 1 in SJ.

I'm indifferent being a leaf fan. Normally when I watch the playoffs I pick the team with the most Canadians on it. However. Both Pitt and San Jose have a crazy amount of Canadians so I'm at a loss. Would love to see Crosby get a second cup though.

I couldn't give a crap about Crosby or Canadians/Americans winning a cup. For me, I'm pretty indifferent just for the fact that I would be happy to see either Joe Thornton or Phil Kessel win a cup. If I had to pick one, I suppose I would go with Thornton just for the fact that his career is close to ending. Kessel has many a year left.

They rebounded nicely in game 3, unfortunately. That second goal really upset me. Murray should have never let it past him....I mean after all the incredible saves he had been making, to let that one get by him was insane. Oh well.
At least Murray and the team rebounded in game 4. It was a great win. I hope we can close it out in game 5. I really do not want to give the Sharks any life or signs of hope.......
